I find these videos really useful, in the other hand there is that many tips it starts scrambling my head, feel like I am making progress doing back biceps twice a week and chest triceps twice a week with about 15 sets each session just working my way around the gym and using cables too, I feel like I am making progress, I do a lot of running too, I-m just wanting to tone up more than anything and feel lighter on my feet.
Something has been playing on my mind and it-s resting your body, is it absolutely necessary?
In the military for instance They don-t seem to rest much, they literally have to jump out of bed and do press ups lol

No one is created the same. Get in the gym try some ish and see what works for you. It took me years to find what works for me and during that time I still gained muscle and strength and didn't eat completely clean. The mind is the power the body needs before the nutrition. If you focus your mind and walk around like you're the person you want to be, you will eventually become that person. Train, eat healthy, sleep repeat. Jeff Cavalier is next level. Best vids out here period.

I've recommended Athlean-X to many people as the content is great. Regarding this video, I would like to have seen a comment included regarding personal life stress and the need to lower training volume to accommodate. Early morning resting heart rates, or resting heart rates, could have been provided as a recovery reference. Still, great job.

Just 1 thing. It's not testosterone addition therapy it's testosterone replacement theory. If someone is using it that doesn't need it, yes they will gain faster but someone that needs it they are returning to normal levels after they have slowed ability to build and retain muscle. Just had to throw that out there

The answer to these questions only get more complex every 5 years. The only commonality is lift as much or as often as you can and just listen to your body. I can't keep track of all the tangential questions and overlaps this explanation gives in the video. It's a lot of info and appreciated but whew. lol

Good advice and tips
I'm 49. 6 years. Training for 25 years. Always learning. My recent mistakes include over training, to much cardio and not eating correctly I. e not enough protein to many easy carbs like toast for breakfast.
I take from this I need a thought out push pull plan for my age.

More volume is not better. Sprinters have much bigger legs than marathon runners. If you doing tons of volume its Endurance training. Your body does not get used to doing so many sets. It gets OVER TRAINED. The guys who are advanced and are doing tons of sets and not progressing are over trained.

For me personally, i went from no chest to a huge chest by starting to do 300 pushups a day. 30 sets of 30 reps until i reached 900 a day in a single workout just focusing in that. Took me about 3 months to get huge. no protien shakes no pills just straight workout

I do total body Wed. and Sun. and find I have a lot of lifting strength. Push pull Leg was too tiring. I just turned 65 and want to lose some fat I have around the waist so the rest of the time I do cardio or nothing. Thanks for the great info!
