Should you do morning or evening workouts for weight loss? This is the ultimate showdown pinning the morning vs the night exercise routine. Which is the best for fat loss and which is better for gaining strength and building muscle Benefits of Morning Workouts: 0: 34 Your Workout Will Get Done: 0: 56 Sets Up Your Day: 1: 59 Great Sleep: 2: 34 Fasted State: 3: 16 Benefits of Nighttime Workouts: 3: 36 Strength: 3: 45 More Energy & Warmed Up: 4: 45 Blow off Steam: 5: 20 Protein Synthesis Levels: 5: 34 Theres No Right Time: 5: 53 Morning vs. Evening workouts which one is best for strength how about for size how about to lose weight well today I'm going to answer all of these questions so you can set up the best workout schedule for yourself. Now I've done both morning & evening workouts & each of these has their own benefit. And when you're choosing what time in the day you're going to work out it's going to highly depend on your goals for example are you trying to build muscle, are you trying to burn fat or are you trying to just simply get a workout in rather than skipping it we're pushing it off till tomorrow. So let's go over the benefits of working out in the morning first. When I first started working out I would work out pretty much only at night. But for the last I would say 5 years I've been doing the exact opposite I've been working out first thing in the morning. Now there's a big reason why I switched & I don't really plan on switching back. The number one biggest benefit of working out in the morning is that you get your workout done. What do I mean by that? Well I mean that especially as you get older & you have a job & you have all these other responsibilities it's really easy to get caught up with your day & wind up not having the energy the willpower nor the desire to work out at night. What this does is it makes a lot of people that plan to work out after work or just simply towards the end of the day. it makes a lot of these people skip their workout with an excuse like I'm really tired today I'll just get my workout in tomorrow. Then tomorrow comes & it's the same thing all over again. The American Council on exercise claims that people that work out first thing in the morning tend to be more consistent with their workouts & they tend to work out more often then people that work out later in the day. If you procrastinate your workouts. you have to. I repeat you have to get your workout in first thing in the morning. Im saying before you even c omprehend that you're awake just get out of bed put your sneakers on go to the gym go for a run get your workout in because it's not happening later. The other huge benefit of getting a workout in first thing in the morning especially if you have a job is that it sets up the rest of your day very very well. I don't even have the exact words to explain it but it just makes everything easier. You would think that working out before work would make you tired at work but in reality it boosts your awareness your attitude & your overall emotional state. This isn't just me saying this guy's this is proven. working out releases endorphins & whether you're going to class or you're going to work you're gonna perform better just because you worked out. Another benefit of working out in the morning is that you're going to get a great full night of sleep when you hit those pillows. A lot of times when you work out at night your body goes from unwinding & starting to relax to a more active state. Combine this with some caffeine or some pre-workout to help you blast through your workout & you're going to have a lot of trouble going to bed if you schedule that work out at night. Now this benefit isn't the same for everyone some people will experience better sleep quality working out at night rather than in the morning so This is highly up to your preference. The last thing that I want to mention about morning workouts before I move on to night time workouts is that if you do a morning workout you can choose to do it in a fasted state. When working out in a fasted State your not gonna magically burn more calories but working out fasted causes an increase in fat mobilization which means that ultimately it can help you burn more fat than a night time workout. Okay so those are some of the benefits of working out in the morning. now there are equally as many benefits for working out at night as there are for working out in the morning they're just different. When I used to only work out at night I can say for a fact that I was always stronger in all of my lists whether it be squats bench presses whatever. Even though

It's hard to say. I workout every morning lifting weights even take pre workout I can workout 1 to 2 hours no problem, but gains I don't push myself as much. Early this morning I literally did a half workout but no weights just didn't feel like it was tired been tired all day long but when 6pm came around I was still tired and felt crappy but in my mind I'm like nope I said I would workout and lift weights daily for 30 days. So I did and man all I can say is I think I did my hardest workout yet tonight I didn't think I was capable of lifting that much with 10sec rest for 45 min straight I was on fire and had no pre workout. Am so gonna try this tomorrow.

I work from home. I walk the dogs for 45 minutes first thing in the morning. Lift weights for 20 minutes at high intensity two hours later, then have my first meal for the day (noon. After that I do three cardio exercise snacks on my elliptical for 15 minutes every three hours. Three times a week one of those exercise snacks is HIIT. I stop eating at around 730pm. Thats the only way to beat a sedentary life style working from home. My last exercise is at 9pm. I do this six days a week. On Sundays I do only the three exercise snacks for a total of 45 minutes.

I agree with everything said on this video, I used to workout in the morning and my lifting was pretty bad, no energy and needed more coffee than usual to stay alert, but I do agree with the benefits of morning workouts, youre done and dont worry the rest of the day about it. Now I workout at night and my energy levels are at best and can be more intense on my lifting and boxing.
On the weekends I do go for a light workout in the mornings tho.

Dude most of the morning stuff doesn't apply strictly to mornings. For example if you're doing IF you can workout in a fasted state and have plenty of energy, combine that with the fast that in the evening time your body is hotter than in morning and add in Hiit cardio and you're a fat burning machine bro. But if you are just starting out be sure you go whenever you can.

Being a working mom, i already tried morning, afternoon and evening workouts. To my my life, the most easy to sustain consistently is morning because life gets on the way, however, I love working out in end of afternoon because i feel that i can lift heavier, but i can't keep consistency. at night, unless is yoga or strecthing i can't sleep right away.

I usually workout in the evening(for weight loss) but then most people are saying that we tend to lose weight more in the morning, so i started waking up in the morning to exercise. But then just after 2 days i feel sick n weak. My whole body is aching i had to take rest for a week! So i had to change my timing again to the evening.

Never thought I would have the energy or drive to do in the morning but glad I started, I work out on empty stomach and have a protein shake with unsweetened almond milk, grass fed whey, PB2 and I feel good throughout the day. In the evening I have trouble sleeping because Im so pumped.

Evening workouts for me. I would LOOOOVE to workout in the AM but injuries from a car accident has caused massive chronic pain and physical limits. my body in the morning is literally like those little wooden puppets from the Robaxocet commercials. OUCHIE!

My fave is a lunch workout. Its a great way to get my energy rebooted! Morning workouts make me tired bc Im usually sleep deprived to wake up earlier lol
I also avoid working out fasted. eating in the AM is great to reduce cortisol and stress hormones.

I did morning 4am to 5am or 5am to 6am and it was hard the first week, and after 2 month I crashed every day at work. Now I'm doing night 9 to 10. 30 and I feel better and seen better result in muscle grown. But it all depends on the person.
