Waking Up Earlier BOOSTS Weight Loss (NEW STUDY)

Waking up at 5am can change your life, but did you know that it can transform your body. Not only can waking up early help you lose weight, but it doesn't take long to see the benefits of waking up between 4am and 6am. The weight loss you experience from having the motivation to workout is just the beginning Getting Up Earlier Can Help: 0: 15 Making Better Diet Choices: 0: 36 BMIs: 1: 32 Start Your Day Off Right: 2: 20 You Start To Delay: 3: 38 Roadblocks: 4: 03 Feel Good Hormones: 4: 59 Get Enough Sleep! : 6: 38 So we've all heard that getting up earlier can help make you more productive and get more done throughout the day but what if getting up earlier could also help speed up your weight loss. Well it actually can, as unbelievable as it might sound simply getting up earlier could help you burn more fat, get in shape, and stay in shape. And in todays video I want to go over exactly how getting up earlier can help improve your body as well as a couple studies that back this idea up. As most of you already know making changes to your diet is the number one thing you can do to burn fat and improve your body composition. And there's some evidence that suggests that getting up earlier can help you big time with making good decisions with your diet. One study compared almost 1900 people that kept food diaries and tracked their total daily intake of calories, carbs, sugar, fiber, protein, and fat. It also tracked when the participants woke up categorizing certain people into the early bird category and others into the night owl category. And it turned out that people in the night owl category were more likely to make poor decisions with the food they ate than the early risers. Night owls consumed a little bit less calories than early birds before 10 am. Over the course of the day the calories between both groups evened out but the people that woke up later made much poorer food choices than people that got up earlier. This was especially true after 8pm where the late risers consumed much more sugar and fat than early risers did. Another study compared morning and nighttime preferences of people and found that people that woke up later typically had a higher bmi than early risers. BMI is your body mass index which is basically a ratio of your height and weight, and a higher bmi brings you closer to the overweight and obese categories. Now it's important to note that neither of these studies show direct causation, but instead they show correlation between getting up and staying up later and having poor diet habits. A lot of people that wake up later may be getting less overall sleep, they might not care as much about their overall health, and they might be making poor decisions when it comes to exercise. All of these other factors can also lead to eating more junk food and having a higher bmi. This means that it's totally possible for you to get up later and still maintain a healthy diet as well as a healthy bmi, but why do early risers seem to have an easier time doing this. Well lets start with the biggest benefit that getting up earlier provides and that's starting your day off right. I know that might not sound like a big deal, but the way you start your day is actually extremely important. This is why we say things like You must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. The truth is that almost all my clients that want to lose weight can't focus all their attention entirely on getting to the gym and eating right. They have other obligations they have kids, they have to cook, and most of all they have a job. Most people have to be at work between 6 in the morning and 9 in the morning at the latest. And most people will set an alarm right before it's time to wake up leaving just enough time to shower brush their teeth and get out the door without preparing a healthy meal to take with them. This increases the chances of them eating something like a trail mix bar or some other fast food choice that sends their blood sugar up and down and causes cravings as well as low energy throughout the day. It also takes all the other responsibilities they have and pushes all of them off till later. Now getting everything done. Im 17 and over the summer I was 224 pounds thats around July time, i was about 6. 4 tall. I started a weight watchers thing and found a way to use it for free by downloading ITrackBites and just used the free version of this. Within one month I lost 24 pounds due to dieting and exercising by lifting weights, cardio and swimming every other day and just maintained that for while cause I had job and school started and I have online driver ed school to do and I got off that diet. For few months it was hard to get back on my plan to lose weight and once online school ended I exercised but not like the way I did when losing weight so I maintained 200 pounds for 4 months until week and half ago I decided to change every beverage I drink to water and I mean everything water nothing else. And I started a fasting diet 16: 8 and from that I lost 11 pounds in week and half cause now today Im at 189 and my goal is get to 180 and start building 6 pack and Im gonna get to 6 pack by summer time or by senior year

I work evenings so getting up early means 2: 00 PM for me.
It's not really that getting out of bed early gives you more success at weight loss, but that being the sort of person who is disciplined and organized enough that you would get out of bed early means you would also be disciplined and organized enough to plan and follow a responsible eating regimen and following through on your exercise routines.
Waking early or waking late, do what works best for you, but make it your habit to be disciplined and organized so you do what is right instead of what is lazy.

I don't think this is true atall. For me opposite is true.
If I work out in the morning I feel tired whole day and feel very hungry and really very tired. Its not like that I tried this couple of days but for a month this thing of morning workout not atall work from me.
Also in the morning my body is too tight to pull heavy weight, which may lead to injury.
I always tried to workout later to the day and sometime may be at night so that I could rest properly and remain fresh for next day.

I cant express how absolutely spot on this entire video is. Ive gotten into a 4: 45am gym routine and it definitely helps prevent eating garbage throughout the day, while maintaining a healthy, feel good mood. Plus, once I get home I always think, shit, I already lifted today! Thanks for the great content.

I think their is a spurious correlation. NBA players, NFL players, all these professional athletes sleep in every day, sometimes really late. It is really just 80% diet and 20% exercise. I can see night owls consuming more calories, because if you are a night owl, you are probably out drinking.

Getting up before 5: 30 is associated with most cancers due to the lower cortisone peak that is observed in people who wake up so early so please don't promote this or other measures that compromise health. Just train hard and eat well if you aim for fat loss

question i have cancer and at one point my doctor said i have to gain weight 4yrs ago and got to 179lbs and im at 5ft 5, last month she said my bme is not good that now at 169lbs she says i have to loose 10lbs does that sound just about right?
reply

nonsense, i stay up all night and sleep in late but i still eat well and hit the gym 4 times a week sometimes more
if i have an early night and get up early i do the same thing so it makes no difference

Not really I found that when I sleep longer like 8-9 hours max rather than 6 hours I have more energy and lose weight quicker even though my calorie intake was in abundance, physical activity was the same too

I love the scientific researches in this video and the precisation about correlation, not causality. All videos should be based on researches as much as possible, not on intuition or just personal experience.
