Had a 3 year break (after lifting continuously for 8 years) put on 50lbs. started working out again at the beginning of quarantine. it was really difficult at the beginning but managed to get back 60 70% of my full strength. getting those newbie gains all over again and it s pretty cool although I still need to lose another 15 lbs of body fat to get to my top form. currently working out 6 days a week(m fortunate enough to have a home gym in my basement) plus walking 1h30 every morning(10 11 k steps every day. I am hopeful I will get back to top shape in another 3 months time. so 6 months of training to make up for 3 years of eating absolute crap and sitting on my behind. I must say though I am 6ft4in and we have been blessed with pretty good genetics in my family. you need to work hard and smart and you will get them gains back

I assume muscle memory works the same after an cut where you lost muscle. During Ramadan i have lost some weight, I still had some decent equipment so my training is still close to optimal. but in that month i was a bit more agressive on the cut, just because you have such an small time to consume calories. I did lost fat defintely, not sure but maybe a bit of muscle too. I bumped my calories to maintence since a few days and I even became leaner after bumping my calories and filled out a bit back.

What if it s a leg? I had surgery March 26, 2020 on my right foot and my right leg from knee down to ankle is very thin and not where the left leg is that which is Muscly and thick and I m just wondering what I m gonna have to do to gain all my muscles back in my calves and upper leg? I feel like I have lost about 75% of the muscle mass that was in my right leg before my surgery and leg got injured.

I litterally just want to cry right now: -. Gym are not yet opened in the UK, but I am already thinking bout my come-back. So far, none of your or Stephanie's programme disappointed me (Glute hypertrophy, Women specialisation and Women optimisation) but I did not feel like jumping to one of them righ away. Waiting for the website to be back-up!

Cheers for the video, really needing this! The gyms are finally starting to reopen over here, but I broke my leg in a couple places so I'm definitely going to be out of the gym for quite some more time. Im going to give your programme a shot when I get the green light to start training again! Always loving your high quality content.

Any thoughts on physiology reasons as to why rate of muscle and strength loss is so incredibly slow in comparison to rate of loss of recovery ability. Like why would my body maintain these Fitness characteristics if it's basically going to just kill me (with DOMS) if I try to use them.

Aside from a handful of barbell workouts at home, I hit the gym for the first time since the quarantine started, yesterday. DB press, DB bench, hack squat, lat pd. All 3x10, all sets were light. I slept better last night than I have in two months.

I m finally hitting the gym tomorrow after 12 weeks off. Usually I do 8-10 sets per movement, so I ll probably do 4-5 tomorrow and see how it feels in recovery. I m legit curious how much power I lost as it s been 12 weeks no overloading.
