Are Energy Drinks Bad For You? (What The Science Says) Lord_Kuku: NOT BUSTED BUT VERY TRUE THAT THERE DEADLYIt don't sound bad for you when you talk about 1 at a time now what if u mix it all together. Than you have a diffrent effect. Energy drinks can kill you. Back in 2011 I had drink 3 Green Monster Energy Drinks over the day that caused me to get kidney failure and when I passed out I ended up laying on my right arm for over 40 hours that caused me to get compartment syndrome in my right forearm and Rhabdomyolysis. I now have permanent nerve, tendon, ligament and muscular damage down the right side of my body. Thanks to energy drinks I also now have a 7-inch scar going across my neck from where they had to put a permanent catheter into my jugular to do dialysis every other day for a month and I also have a 14-inch scar going down my forearm where my muscle had swelled so much that it blew out of my skin. Needless to say I don't have use of my right hand anymore but it did take me about two maybe three years to learn how to play video games again with just one hand. Now I'm left with alot of pain when I wake up in the mornings, it feels like someone stabbing me with a very hot pitchfork, till I take my meds then I have to deal with the tingling feeling down the right side of my body as if your leg or hand fell asleep, I feel that 24/7. Doctors said I was about an hour away from my kidneys erupting and I would have died instantly. So I got lucky someone else may not. Now we all have diffrent body chemistry, so someone could drink ten a day and be fine another person could drink one or two a day and end up dying from them. So pleased to anyone that reads this message be careful with energy drinks they can kill you.

Hey everyone I've been getting asked a lot about the schedule for my video series other than Myth Bust Monday (so the Science Applied and Fundamentals Series. Because these videos take a lot more time in terms of research, editing, and production/filming than a comparatively simple MBM, I'm only committing myself to about 1 upload per month. So as of now, my goal is to release all of the Fundamentals videos over the next 6 months and the same for the Science Applied videos (where I plan to cover AT LEAST Pull, Legs, Upper and Lower (having already done Push)I also haven't retired the Science Explained series and am actually releasing a remastered and updated version of my Calves Science Explained video later this week. And I have a goal of doing one in-depth interview per month with a researcher or coach in the field of interest so I can do a deeper dive than I am able to in these short form videos. Thanks again guys for sticking around and showing support Can't believe we're already at 550K

Pyridoxine Hypochloride is technically a form of B-6, yes. But it's the synthetic, laboratory made form. Not what you get naturally from food. When you ingest it, your body then actually has to work harder to convert it into its active form Pyrodoxal 5 Phosphate, the form naturally found in real food. Also, unlike the other B complex vitamins which simply pass through the body, B6 and B12 ARE in fact able to be stored in the body and, although unlikely, DO have the potential to accumulate and cause toxicity (mainly, neuropathic damage. Look at the back of your Monster or your Redbull. It lists the amount of artifical B12 and B6 as some crazy value. Something like 300% of your recommended daily intake (I don't know for sure, because I don't drink that garbage. Synthetic vitamins are unnecessary and can even be harmful in excess (unlike the kind you get from. I dunno. ACTUAL FOOD) Eat some meat. Eat some vegetables. Drink coffee if you need a pick me up. God. You friggen kids and your sugary crap.

Your statement about sharks is actually a common misconception. There are only 8 fatalities worldwide a year on average due to shark attacks, and marine biologists say sharks actually arent interested in eating us. If you drop fish blood in a shark tank, theyll react and bolt over. However, if you put human blood in a shark tank, they wont react and bolt over. Its like giving a human broccoli, we arent rushing to eat this. Fish blood is to human blood as meat is to vegetables, in this sense. Also, most shark teeth isnt developed/sharp enough to actually kill us. Many sharks just bite us (when were going out of our way into the ocean to touch them and annoy them) out of curiosity, to see what we are. As sharks are endangered and are expected to go extinct in probably 2 decades, itd be great if you would acknowledge otherwise. Their extinction would actually be destructive to marine life and would eventually effect human life as well because itd mess up the food web.

I just wanted to add that the vitamin B cocktail that is added to energy drinks can lead to acne breakouts in some people (B12 is known to have that side affect, but not many people know that B6 and B3 can also lead to such a reaction. In the case of B12, it's something to do with how the excess B12 changes the way P Acnes behaves on our skin (it produces less B12 and more of an inflammatory by-product instead, leading to the sudden angry eruption of acne. I thought I'd mention it in case anyone watching this video consumes energy drinks regularly and has noticed an unusual acne eruption of uniform pimples around the chin area (or even all over the face. The recommended daily intake of B12 is 2. 4 micrograms per day for adults, and these energy drinks definitely surpass that limit, especially if you drink them on the regular.

What people don't realize is that the cans are lined with BPA which kill testosterone I quit drinking energy drinks after I found out I had a 439 t level and 35 free t. I was drinking 3 to 4 a day. I'm extremely healthy hit the gym five to six times a week and have about a 6% body fat. I eat super healthy and the doctors couldn't figure out why I had low t. Was drinking sugar free reign and rockstars. Switched to green coffee and tea. I'm going to have blood work done in a month to see if it raised after quitting the energy drinks and switching to more natural stuff. The green coffee I drink is sunup and those are BPA free cans

The studies felt a little cherry picked and some proven adverse side effects were also tip toed around. Here us what I found in my search. Energy drinks have been shown to increase heart rate and blood pressure, gastrointestinal inflammation, decreases insulin sensitivity, promotes sodium loss (dehydrates you, and increases dental errosion. Theres also a few pros to energy drinks as well though such as improved memory, alertness, and mood. This is all from a compilation of studies by the government. jeff lets get real, caffeine is a stimulant that accesses and hijacks dopamine and adrenaline, caffeine is bad for you, anyone think differently, consume 250-500 mg a day for a month or more than quit cold turkey and see how horrendous the withdraws are. Honestly try this, then reflect on how addicted you are physically and mentally to this drug three days in to you quitting when you have 0 energy you want too sleep all day have no motivation and become unreasonably depressed, addiction is weakness.

In the science part of the video, you totally ignore these facts: 1. - Internet source, not all in internet is real. 2. - there are many foods that share some ingredients with energy drinks, but those foods doesnt come in the same amount or combination like energy drinks. 3. - It is better to listen to a bunch of doctors and scientists, than to a simple comparison done by people who arent expert in those fields. 4. - The amount of sugar and caffeine in energy drinks are really dangerous.

It's processed junk so it's obviously terrible for your health. Consuming this shit is normalised by reviews like this one. Terrible and irresponsible review. I wonder if Jeff got monetary kickbacks or any kind of incentives from any of the companies that produce or distribute this shit for what seems to be a deliberately projected 2 sided unbiased de-vilifying product review for junk food that is causing and contributing to many health issues across the board.
