Natural vs Enhanced: Becoming the Best Bodybuilder You Can Be ft. John Meadows (MountainDog)

A conversation between myself and John Meadows about training, steroids and breaking past perceived limitations. Michael Cohen: Amazing to watch a 46 year old who looks 60 talk about taking moderate doses while he ruined his hormone system in his 30s) and has to be on hormone replacement for the rest of his life. Hard pass. I appreciate his openness. Agree to disagree that his path represent a healthy one.

I hate that natty has become such an obsession. I have no problem with anabolics, I'll probably never use them for health reasons and personal asethetic taste, but there are plenty of people who have pushed themselves to that 99. 999% ceiling of their genetic limit and want to see what the human limit is non-natty. I get that people who are using steroids advice should be taken under an extra filter (their gains don't work the sam as natty's, but I hate the disrespect that's rampant for steroid users. IMHO it encourages people to lie about whether their natty or not. On a side note, the way John Meadows mouth moves when he talks really reminds me of Gary Busey.

So basically if you are a pro Bodybuilder (Physique, classic, whatever) you don't get off cycle your entire life? I mean if you do a bulk or a cut cycle for 8 to 12 weeks you are looking at 8 to 12 weeks of PCR which means you have 2-3 cycles at best per year. Which leads me to believe you will be losing size when trying to return to your natural test levels and are off cycle. So those pro dudes use high doses 500mg to 1g or more during prep and when in the off season (time when they are off cycle) they use HRT doses to some of their size that they've achieved during their main cycle?

I dont understand for the life of me how you people find it so unbelievable that hes natural. Like yall severely underestimate what the human body is capable of. If you go to any big box gym or hardcore gym hell even a college campus youll see guys that carry a good amount of muscle he is really no exception. Hes short so he looks big but theres so many fully natural guys that make him look small I know guys so much bigger that are natural for sure I just dont get it

such a good post that I feel compelled to respond by saying as a Drug Free National Champion, I was impressed with your line of questions and blown-away by John's candidness and understanding of how both lifestyle and personality traits are critical prerequisites before dispensing any workout advice. Moreover, he shared the most important concern with gear by illuminating the big picture. Kudos to you both, very well done.

Can anyone recommend a training program that is limited to 3-4 days a week in the gym? And 1 hour max each session? I love bodybuilding as a hobbie but I defintiely cannot train anymore than that without sacrificing time with family, friends, and careerEdit. Been training for much of my life and have built a decent physique. Far from stage level but pretty good for being mostly sedentary at work

after watching this i must say imho iam disappointed with john, he says he dosent judge people but what about the example hes settting for young guys getting into the weight game, look at how many body builders have died way before their time from steriods, john i think you have to ask yourself is it worth your life? and what you see on stage is not real those guys are juiced

Also thank you for getting someone to be somewhat open about steroid advice. I know you are natty and many viewers will be natty. But not all of us are and some are willing or considering making the jump, and we appreciate common sense advice and experienced advice on dosages, compounds, and how to try to stay safe.

I love this video bro. What an honor having such an amazing guy in this sport, and to know he is this real and normal and see his opinions. Just makes me have that much more respect for him. And respect for you allowing him to do the talking. Shows you are humble and respectful Jeff
