Carbs aren't necessary. Been low carb for 3 years, stronger than I've ever been in my life. Protein builds muscle, and creates its own insulin response. Eating low carb actually creates insulin sensitivity. And the body is more efficient at using insulin for muscle growth, rather than spiking insulin constantly with carbs. If you doubt it, just look up Dr Shawn Baker. Author of the carnivore diet, powerlifter and world record holder. Cut the carbs, get the gains! #carnivore.

Nice and informative video.
I've been doing resistance training for 5 years and I'm now 42 and for me the most difficult thing to balance is the strenght- and cardio training ratio.
My cardio is not optimal and could use improvement, but with only 2-3 gym days I'm feeling lacking in time to get in my cardio.
I'm going to improve my sleep though, which is also lacking.

I'm 45 and took about over a month off during Christmas/New Years because for most of that time I was out of state and didn't have a gym to go to(and also pure laziness. By the time I got back in the gym, I had lost a good amount of muscle and was lifting much less weight. Never making that mistake again.

You missed K2 whenever you supplement vitamin D3. I think I even saw it was flashed on the screen with one of your articles. You commonly find D3&K2 together. Personally being in Canada and winter here I take 20, 000ui of D3 with k2, zinc and mag. Nice video, good reminders as usual!

A book that changed my life in ways that I never could imagine is Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution. Drop whatever you're doing right now and go find that book. Trust me after applying its principles, my testosterone levels skyrocketed like never before.

I’m eating 5000 cal a day while also doing high intensity cardio and weights and it seems to be working as I’m gaining muscle while also gaining a tiny percentage of body fat. So I wonder what you would say to this as far as not doing extensive cardio

You give good information I have been exercise for more than 50 years. I am now 68 years old; I am a power lifter and fitness trainer. I weigh 79 kilos I don't have big muscles as a bodybuilder but I am muscular for my age and I am strong and healthy.

Excellent summation of the main factors necessary to build and maintain muscle. I’m 77. It took me several years to learn what you covered in 11 minutes. You beginners don’t know how lucky you are to have this guy helping you.

I'm 48, started lifting a year ago. I do 2 sets to failure and I can see the growth the next day in the evening and or second day after. Eat lots of protein and good food and the swelling doesn't go away it grows your muscle

There are a laundry list of reasons I continue to go to your videos, probably the most paramount is that your content is somewhat geared towards, & extremely helpful for, those who are in their 40’s. So thank you.

It’s shocking how Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution has remained under the radar. If you’re even slightly curious about optimizing your health and performance, this book is a must-read.

Lifting light weights for a ton of reps doesn't necessarily mean you lose muscle. I do it every other week, alternating it with a week of lifting heavy and it's great for strength and endurance.

Don't get Hurt. 2 fractured femurs, torn meniscus, shoulders, thumbs, toes, ankles, ribs, hernia, surgery, broken wrist, NOT TRAINING BECAUSE YOUR HURT IS THE MAIN REASON. IMO

It’s crazy how Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution isn’t a mainstream book yet. If people knew what’s inside, they wouldn’t be struggling with low testosterone

The fact that almost no one is talking about Secret Testosterone Nexus of Evolution speaks volumes about why so many people are stuck in life.

Aren’t those high rep studies done on college males
As you get older, it’s hard to lift heavy all the time because your joints can’t take it.
