How to Fix Concave or Pigeon Chest (Pectus Excavatum or Carinatum) Christian: I have pectus excavatum and according to my parents it was recognizable as an infant. I really didn't think about it until I hit high school and people, students and a teacher (not overtly but he alluded to it, would mention it as being unusual or strange. When I went to college I worked on chest exercises a la bench pressing to reduce the visibility of the pectus as the speaker mentions in the video. Even as an adult I had a few people try to body shame me (stating I should keep my shirt on) at Ocean City beach due to my condition. My response was why should I be limited due to this condition. I am as free to take my shirt off as you are as it is a public beach. The speaker is right, although you might notice most people don't focus on your condition as an adult. I have dated several women and brought it up and they told me they didn't even notice. If your condition is severe enough that would be a different story with surgery being an option. But if you have a mild or possibly moderate working out such be a good option. Good luck to all of you my brothers!

My best friend and I both have the concave chest. The way I minimised the way it looked was: to develop the back muscles to improve posture, work on growing the chest muscles and getting stronger abs to tighten the ribs as I had lots of rib flare. It-s still a little noticeable from the side but it doesn-t bother me that much anymore. Hope this helped anyone.

No pain or complications while growing up? Thanks for posting pictures. I was scared when my doctor pointed it out on my 3 month old son today and did some googling. This video makes me feel better about it. I really dont think Id notice it, even when you didnt have that muscle. I didnt even pick up on it on my own baby. Hehe

I-m so happy I-ve come across this video, I-ve hated the way my body has looked for years and years. I-m 26 years old now and I-m too scared still of what people will think of my body, admittedly I-ve got too many mental health problems as well on top of this but it doesn-t help that I feel bad and sad about the way I look.

I've got it medium bad. I worked 3 summer as a lifeguard at a summer camp. Spend a lot of time shirtless. Here's the thing. Between your friends, it's always gonna be a thing there's gonna be good natured shit talking about. And if you're a cool guy, girls will like you regardless. It's nothing to worry about.

Thank you so much I-ve looked for months now and I just stumbled across this vid and I have pidgin chest and I am gonna start working out. The only reason I am self conscious and in turn makes me more quiet and makes me have less friends is my pidgin chest, thank you so much this means a lot to me

So bassically I started working out recently and noticed there is an area of my chest that doesn-t grow muscle at all and it-s in the middle on my left peck, the doctor said that I won-t be able to grow muscle there because the muscle fibers are destroyed there from trauma or they are misplaced
