Ready to learn about the 4 muscle building sets that changed the way I trained forever? ryan_humiston: I just want you to know that I recently have been listening to your videos and I-ve always had a very similar feeling about training. That being said recently my training has been dog shit due to some injuries and being a father- Long story short I decided to turn up the volume on my leg day and on rep 21 of 30 I proceeded to tear my Glute. Yes a literal pain in my ass. Soon I will start rehab I hope. Thanks for that. I mean it.

Love this guy; his way of talking. And his training principle(s) but this video yikes peeps gonna get hurt. Save 1 in the tank except final set or live a life on oxycontin - id rather avoid the injury and a few extra fibres of growth for longevity, functionality in daily life and pain free being the utmost importance. Just a hobbie guys. Never gonna make money. Dont mess ur body up and lose ur job. But train intensely-safe

Im 38, i started trainig 3-5 days a week a year and a half ago. I maxed out all the weights I have. I really started to see a difference about 6months ago when i listened to you. High reps until failure and focusing on my technique. I have rapidly grown my arms, back and my chest is starting to get a bit more defined. Im growing out of all my shirts. Thanks, Ryan.

He has helped me a ton as well. Really learned to up my intensity and see better progress. Learn what volume can be. Like him for his mentality and honesty. Most people seem to tell sell there stuff based on their body and never mention that sauce is needed.
Cool thing is watching an Arnold video on old school bodybuilding-had a lot of the same tips

I like the -find the exercise you connect with and do that- attitude. How many people are going to drop a workout or whatever because they don't like a certain exercise? I also like these max sets. Yes they're more of a mental test than anything else since the body is basically just a machine and does what it's told by the command center aka the brain.

What about generating way too much cortisol with all those sets to failure? Won-t that affect your testosterone and cause the muscles to actually breakdown? When I train with high levels of volume to close failure I find I don-t build as much muscle. This seems to be counterintuitive to Dr. Mike Isratel from Renaissance Periodization.

I like the knowledge you are sharing and appreciate it. I was enthusiastic about sharing this with my son but can-t due to the vulgar references. I know it-s witty humor to some people and you are talented at it but as a Christian I-m not offended; I just think you-d be more effective without it. Thanks again.

I think alot of working out for the average person is just to be consistent. Doing what feels right, gives you a good pump and makes you see some results is going to keep you coming back for more, and continue your progress over that 1-5 year period.

Love hear your take on resistance bands(I don't like them but when traveling I use them when I have to. I understand how their a variable resistance instead of weights which are consistent; but why exactly does the pump feel so different?
