Eating Meat For 30 Days.

Decided to make a change to my diet and started eating meat. but probably not why you think. After being vegan for four years I decided my body was ready for a change. Several things pushed me in this direction, one of the biggest that I didn't mention in the video itself was how often I was getting sick. It seemed like once a month I would come down with the flu and my immune system was garbage. John: I've been eating Carnivore for about 2 months now. I'm 53 years old. I started at 210 (and UGLY 210) and I'm now down to 187 (at 6 ft. I'm definitely not as strict as the wife, but I've cut out about 90% of all carbs (especially fruits and vegetables) out of my diet. I was in the Army for 22 years have a lot of issues (60% disabled, ALL of it structural. Back, Hips, Ankes, etc. A LOT of the pain I would have every day has either gone away or diminished. I chalk that up to lessening the literal Poisons I had been ingesting from plants (they actually don't WANT to be eaten and produce chemicals to make us Avoid eating them.

Ah, such a shame to hear Ryan, still going to watch you for your awesome workout advice, just not nutrition. Not going to try and change your mind, just saying there's too much to unpack in this video, so I'll only mention the immediate. While we know you really don't really care, a lot of us do care and that nutritional statement about vegans being deficient just isn't accurate but I understand why you're saying it. We all know from your videos you have a lot of health/lifestyle issues in general. From a severe lack of sleep - this alone will completely destroy your hormones, immune system, shorten your lifespan, and ruin your hair quickly (nevermind genetics, etc, to taking TRT a synthetic hormone replacement that doctors are pushing on everyone with their defined low T levels instead of helping people resolve their foundational and terrible lifestyles causing the problem, and then the fact that you're drinking tons of processed protein shakes every day to meet requirements is insanely unhealthy and not normal.
Spamming shakes is not something me, my family or anyone we know have ever had to do as vegans and working out for 8+ years, etc, and we never get sick, our lives have completely changed positively for switching away from animal products. There are hundreds of reasons for the issues you're having, and even if meat helped, stopping overly processed shakes, etc. etc. etc. might be the cause; you should see a good nutritionist that knows what they're doing and aren't closed off to vegans or any lifestyle. Anyways, looking forward to more workout methods with your new measuring device. Cheers

I REALLY appreciate all you do. Especially your humorous approach to this topic. Was excited when you got the machine that measures activation. Can't wait to see what all you publish in that regard. Okay, enough ass-kissing. ;-)
I'll be 56 in a few days. I was super fit in the younger years (soldier and all that) then just let myself go until I hit 275 lbs. Lost 25 lbs and started olympic weight lifting (functional fitness/crossfit) two years ago. Was slamming the protein shakes until I found your protein videos. Took a break from the shakes and, it would seem, recovery is the only place I even noticed a difference. I eat at least 2-4 eggs/day to supplement. I haven't lost a single pound (still 250) but everyone who hasn't seen me in a while thinks I've lost a ton of weight. I'm still making new PR's and continuously revising my goals in the gym. Thank you for the inspiration and kicks in the ass.

Just that you do the right thing. The rest doesn t matter. Cold or warm. Tired or well-rested. Despised or honoured. Dying or busy with other assignments. Because dying, too, is one of our assignments in life. Aurelius

After the diet research I ve done plus my own experiences I truly think it s about finding the balance that works for you.
If you want to be supplement free then you really can t healthily do either heavy meat or full veg diets.
Meat is important in a natural diet but it really should only be a small part of a daily meal. I love steak but having a huge steak with a small bit of veg isn t good as it should in reality only be 30% of your dinner.
As always it s about balance.
Also some people have slightly different tolerances so it s what works for you.

I'm a genuine animal lover myself but I also have a pretty severe autoimmune disorder so eating meat is somewhat of a necessity for me. I'm severely allergic to soy and reactive to most oxalates so grocery shopping for anything that isn't a whole food is a nightmare anymore. That's still better than being a 400lb+ lump of ouch and itch.
I can't wait to see your results.
BTW, I've incorporated a lot of the principles you talk about with mind-muscle connection and super set volume and have seen some great results. Thanks Ryan.

Being vegan is not the same as eating plantbased. A vegan cannot just unvegan himself since veganism is the act of living in a way that cause the less possible harm to animals, which yeah included diet but it goes beyond that. Someone that eats plantbased is not necesarily a vegan. Anyhow, I hope this makes a positive change in your life Ryan, even tho as you said science often contradicts itself in this area it comes down to what is intuitive and aligned with our own principles

Vegan for over three years. Been thinking about throwing fish back into my diet due to what you said earlier in the video: turning into a fattie with all the plant based protein I gotta eat to get more protein. I ve been doing your programs for a year and a half and have seen great results, but man, what if they were better?

Veganism has made my life so much better. I just take a multivitamin and supplement with pea protein and I ve felt amazing since doing it. It s been about 2 years now but I realize why someone would not do it. For me though I have been packing on muscle and have way more energy on this diet than a meat heavy diet.

I went the other route with my love for animals. I hunt for a majority of our family's protein. I didn't like the waste that occurs with buying from corporations, and it ensures that my family and I get out in nature to admire what we have been given. The other portion we procure from a smaller family owned ranch.

My gf actually always had an iron deficiency. Then she vent vegan and a few weeks or months later her iron amounts were higher then ever before abd her doctor couldn't believe it.
I guess it is something than can vary quite heavily on different bodies. May also have something to do with ones ancestors.

I love animals, too. some to pet, some to ride, some on my dinner plate. The fact is, I love meat. don't love vegetable based protein sources anywhere near as much. So I'll have a salad with my steak and let my dog eat the gristle and fatty parts.

1: 40 This is bad science. Every cell in your body requires cholesterol, there are NONE in a vegan diet - hence your body gotta convert nutrients to make its own cholesterol. Which always leads to deficiencies, infertility etc.
Get dietary cholesterol.

Been watching your content for a couple years now, and even bought your full gym program, which kicks my ass everytime. What I would like to know though is if you will update your full gym program as you find better and more effective exercises?

Tried vegan. After 3 months I was dreaming about hunting. with my teeth. Also got fat, sick and, oddly enough, bi-polar.
Tried carnivore: all those problems disappeared and I feel great. I'm strong, lean and emotionally stable.
Go figure.
