Looking for the best things to do on Maui? You can-t miss these 3. First, we-ll bring you along the infamous Road to Hana, with its hairpin curves and one-lane bridges, it isn-t for the faint of heart! But if you can stomach the drive, you-ll be rewarded with incredible rainbow eucalyptus trees, majestic bamboo forests, endless waterfalls, gorgeous black sand beaches, epic vistas, and of course, countless adorable roadside stands selling fresh coconuts and banana bread all along the way. The Road to Hana truly embodies the best of Maui! Insider tip: Make sure to download the -Shake Guide- app to get some amazing pointers on the best places to stop along the way. It gives you live updates as you drive, like your own personal tour guide that goes exactly at your pace. We definitely wouldn-t have found the secret lava tube without it; ) After a long drive, it-s time to take a break at one of Maui-s gorgeous beaches before you set off on your next adventure. Kihei is full of family-friendly beaches that are a bit more mellow than some other surf spots on the island. If you-re lucky you might end up swimming past a sea turtle! Next, we-ll bring you to the Maui Ocean Center, which has the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western Hemisphere. You-ll see scuba divers feeding smiling manta rays, then wonder at the countless sharks that surround you as you walk through an underwater tunnel, dotted by light beams streaming through the water. For tickets or more info on the Maui Ocean Center: Lastly, we-ll go to the top of Haleakala, the enormous volcano that makes up 75% of the island of Maui and stands at 10, 023 feet/3, 055 meters above sea level. Make sure to bring a jacket and pants if you make the trek up as it can drop to 30F/-1C at the summit, quite a difference to the hot beach weather down below! Quietly marvel at the red crater landscape below you, as the clouds engulf you while they sail by. If you can make the time during your trip a sunrise or a sunset at the top of Haleakala is a truly spectacular sight that you-ll never forget. Note: If you-d like to see the sunrise at Haleakala you will need to make sunrise viewing reservations ahead of time, which open online 60 days in advance of your visit, along with some last-minute tickets released two days beforehand at 7am. No reservations for sunset are required at this time, nor for visiting any time after sunrise

I'm sure you get asked this all the time, but do you have a list of gear you use somewhere? I'm backpacking through parts of Maui so I have to be selective about what equipment I can take but don't want to miss out on any epic opportunities to shoot some shots that are worthy of the beautiful landscape.

Great cinematography and editing! Love the music too! Your family was so good in this video because I know the Pipiwai Trail is hard enough for adults, much less a newborn and three year old daughter after a long day in the car with other stops before the 3. 4 mile round trip hike. Very nicely done!

I love how you are exposing your daughter. She will be fearless and confident. She is already showing her artistic skills. Parents need to know that talents are shaped when a child is young. Exposing your children to different environments is the best thing you could ever do.

Thank you! What tome of year did you go to Haleakala. Is the sunset as pretty as the sunrise. How cold was it for kiddos. Do you recommend staying an extra night in hana to do pipiwai trail or drive again to hana
