Im just in awe.
Of course, youre much younger than me too. But you are amazing.
That was impressive trekking.
Im glad you explained your filming by yourself, because that is a lot of extra time and energy.
Just amazing.
I love hiking and climbing, but after several injuries, its not as easy at nearly 64, but I still get out there.
Thanks for the journey with you.
This was my first time watching you. Ill be checking out your other vids too.
Be safe.

During 100 Miles from Nowhere, Matt was big on doing their own filming because he said that No film crew can keep up. (I don't think that's actually true though. Now watching Danny show us how miserable it is to have to do your own filming, it's clear that Danny would be just fine with a camera crew even it if cost some time. :)

why can't you just walk up the mountain in brisk pace but enjoying the scenery and such? if you want a good workout, then get on the treadmill or go climb the stairwell up 70 floors in a tall building. it will give you the same or better cardio. what you are doing is like skimming thru a masterpiece novel.

I hiked it a few years ago using the alternate route that takes you to the central lake and then goes up switchbacks to the top. Problem was, it was completely covered in snow and ice, and you had to crawl your way up. Pretty easy coming back down though. jump off the top and use your ass as a sled.

Now in my old age with a severely damaged heart, I can only enjoy the wilderness via people like you. I cannot thank you enough for creating such outstanding, informative and professional videos of your adventure. May you live long and prosper.

There is a peak in Great Basin national park in Nevada that is also called wheeler peak and is the tallest peak in Nevada and only a couple hundred feet higher. You should hike it. it is just as beautiful and there is a glacier there. :)

Hey, can you tell me about the
shoes/boots youre wearing in this one? Great vid thanks for putting in the extra time! You put in the painstaking effort to get all those shots that I would give up on after a couple hours LOL

Not sure why metal poles in hand make it worse. Lightning doesn't magically seek out metal to strike, but if you did get struck those poles might save you by being far better conductors than your torso and legs.

You inspired me to try mountain running/climbing etc. Just attempted this route in November and it was pretty tricky, you make it look like cake. Thanks for inspiring others to do what you do

Thank you emphatically! In my 20s, I climbed Mt. Adams, Rainier, Baker, Mt. St. Helens, Glacier Peak. Seeing you hike/climb peaks I had on my list but have not accomplished is wonderful!

Dang. do you take any water? A couple liters maybe? You lose twice that just breathing on a hike like that. Nice work, but jeez. you are still human.

I hate to be the guy asking this, and obviously this isn't the point of the video, but does anybody know the song that starts at 6: 48 minutes?

Glad you had a wind free traverse, when my friends and I were there a few years back it was crazy windy and freaking cold. Good on you
