I'm not much of a traveler. I stay in New York and I'm pretty happy where I am but I kind of want to break out a little bit and travel overseas and this is one destination I want to go to. How do I go about doing it on my own and venturing around without knowing the language? Getting an Airbnb or hotels obviously easy but simple things as going to a restaurant or tour seems like an issue

The winters in Malta are quite warm. Its average temperature is 17/9 Celsius in winter which isnt cool. it doesnt really get below 0 that much and its summers are scorching hot. Most days in the summer are above 30 degrees celsius at the high temperature of the day.

I live in Malta and I will recommend you visit any other island in the mediterranean before Malta. Is a dirty island full of cars without real beaches. Valetta and Victoriosa is nice but not too impressive if you have been in Sicily, Menorca or any Greek island.

I'm seriously considering taking my soon to be Wife here for our Honeymoon.
She's already been to Paris so,
it's a decision between Malta and Rome.
I have a feeling that Malta will be less expensive but that's not really the deciding factor.

Its funny how sometimes things look nicer in video or pictures than real life. Malta is ok but this filming really exaggerates the country. I am here now and very underwhelmed.
