Seriously, when this video started out with Coco Island and the National Museum, as being in Costa Ricas top 10 destinations, and praised the food as being some of the most renowned in the world, I was ready for this to be the most ridiculous video on Costa Rica that I have ever seen (and that is saying something. I am fully aware that everyone has their own tastes, but some of these selections are almost laughable. That said, Drake Bay, Corcovado, La Fortuna, Manuel Antonio and arguably Puerto Viejo are worthy selections.
On the other hand, I dont know many people who are up for paying about $5000 per person to go on a 36 hour boat ride each way, over rough sees, to see an island with a tiny fraction of the above water wildlife that can be seen in Corcovado; that is unless they are a serious/advanced diver, like myself, in which case the diving is what you go there for (this key information should have been mentioned.
As for most of the rest of the top 10 selections, speaking as someone who has been just about everywhere in Costa Rica over the years that I have lived there, these picks are meh at best! Irazu, sure, if you have a day to kill in the Central Valley and dont have something better to do. The National Museum, lol, my old roommate worked next door, and I checked it out once while waiting for him to get off work. I think the word for it was underwhelming! Mal Pais is cool (and beautiful, but expensive and spread out, with fewer easy things to do when compared to other beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.
This list of destinations strikes me as coming from someone who visited maybe 8 places in Costa Rica, over the course of a 2 week trip, and then made a top 10 list out of their super limited experience.
I highly recommend going to Costa Rica, but dont let this be your guide!
And I could go on and on.

Finally a CR video that avoids the over priced government backed Liberia-Tamarindo-Four Seasons crapola. Well done! I have been to all of your suggestions in this clip. My highlight was Cocos Island many decades ago, you could do an entire show on that place alone, Tuanes Mahe

Have you actually been here? There are a lot of negatives to many of these activities. I have been to Costa Rica probably 15 times for a week to a month per time. The road time to these locations would be insane and some has way more awesome places in between these locations.

You do realize that Cocos island is a national park and you can only access it with ranger permission. They also limit the amount of visitors to keep for the wildlife. It is 550 km off the coast of Costa Rica so really only scuba divers go there.

We didn't't get a chance to visit San Jose, I feel now like it would have been worth a few days, maybe next time. We had a great time during our 5 weeks. Lots of videos to post now!

Costa Rica is so overrated. I was highly disappointed when I went a few weeks ago. Just think of Hawaii with Spanish speakers.
