Hot Springs National Park is a park in Arkansas that houses many historic bathhouses that were used in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The bathhouses get their water directly from the hot springs that come out of the mountain and the whole experience is very unique in United States national parks. I spent the entire day exploring the bath houses, eating at the restaurants, hiking some of the parks trails and just enjoying the history. Here is my one day at Hot Springs National Park and

Its crazy Ive lived 30 mins away from Hot Springs my whole life and have never really gotten the chance to experience its whole beauty I will say there is an old candy store a few shops down from the coffee place you visited thats very nice but of course you cant experience everythingggg but its a very pretty city with really low crime rates compared to many cities that are similar if youre still staying in AR or ever plan on returning I suggest for another smaller city coming to Murfreesboro where theres the diamond mines were known for where you can keep all findings as well as many crystal shops and arrowhead searches etc theres also the northwest corner of AR where we have our highest populations there is Springdale which is a very suburban area with a high Hispanic and Marshallese population with many great authentic Mexican restaurants and stores then there is Bentonville home town of Walmart so their main store is there then the biggest is Fayetteville Razorback city we have our large football and baseball stadium there as well as a huge variety of cultures and businesses shopping districts etc we are the natural state for a reason it truly is a beautiful stateps weve got Clintons birthplace and Johnny Cash birthplace

AWESOME Video as always Josh, beautiful verdant countryside and the town has some unique buildings, kinda like made in the Main Street style, yet in its own proper manner. And how hot was the water when you took a shower or brushed your teeth? LOL. very HOT! ;) As for the alligators there, I'd a thought they were only on the gulf coast not as inland as Arkansas is. As for the Bailey fast food joint, reminds me of Milt's Stop N Eat in Moab, say btw, when Pops and you went to Arches, did ya get to eat at Milt's? Well, that is if its still open for business. Loved the bird's eye view ya got going up the elevator as well as the hike but the elevation isn't that high up huh? I noticed on that map segment you showed, it had a peak at 1, 121ft. and from what I remember Mt. Mitchell in the Appalachians is 5, 000 ft. above sea level. Thanks for sharing, liked and wishing ya a great week! :)

Absolutely AVOID driving through Hot Springs, Arkansas if you have out of state plates. It Will make you the target of extortion, assault & battery or worse.
The garland county sheriffs department has a long history of corruption and civil rights abuses. It doesn't matter what color your skin is. The information is well documented for anyone that cares to investigate further. The sheriffs deputys who participate in these crimes and continue to do so may not have to pay for their crimes in this life time, but there will be accountability on judgement day!
You may cancel my comment because you aren't comfortable with truth & facts, but the word is out.

Thanks for making such a great video about my home town and glad you had a great time, been living in Hot Springs since I was 5 (33 now. You really take for granted how beautiful the scenery is (not just in Hot Springs, but all over Arkansas) when you live here so long. Recently I went to Peti Jean State Park, there were so many breathtaking views. And yeah, Baileys has AMAZING milk shakes. Oh also my High School biology teacher used to work part time at the alligator farm. One day during a show an alligator got its mouth clamped around his arm. Thankfully, he didn't suffer any permanent injuries, and the alligator was fine as well.

As a proud Arkansan of 18 years (sold my Temecula, California insurance agency and relocated in 2004 - thank goodness, just an FYI: Hot Springs and just about every place east of Hot Springs is COMPLETELY different and vastly inferior to the western side of the state. I live on 36 spectacularly beautiful acres with a 2-1/2 acre lake in the Ouachita National Forest with plenty of necessary amenities nearby. It is a completely safe area - as a single woman, I don't even bother to lock my doors at night. It IS paradise!

Idk why but this video really touched me. Hot Springs is my first real place I've lived in since I started journey traveling the country in my little camper. With everything in life I kind of lost track of why I even started my journey. You're video really inspired me and reminded me why I'm out here- just exploring and seeing what this world has to see! Thank you and best of luck on your journeys!

As a resident of Hot Springs, Ar. i must say this guy is a terrible tour guide-there is so much more about Hot Springs than the natural springs- and considering he gave no actual history of them, made them of no interest. if tourism depended on this bonehead NO ONE WOULD TRAVEL! His question: if i missed anything let me know in the comments ---you missed EVERYTHING dude!

I lived in Hot Springs almost a year. Just moved back to VA last month. Great video. I didnt get to explore all those places because my arthritis keeps me from doing all that walking, but I would have loved to. I did do a little exploring by car. I lived in the country away from main downtown and where you were. Out there in the country the sunset is great.

With limited travel funds I'm not sure that I'll ever make it to Arkansas so I sure appreciate iate being able to join you o. Your travels via video. That visitor center with all its stained glass certainly is a national treasure. It's too bad that Sutro Baths here in California did not receive similar treatment.

Levi Hospital is located behind the free parking. It has a physical therapy department that uses the hot springs water in their pool for aquatic therapy. I don't recommend Fat Bottomed Girls Cupcake Shoppe. I used to work there and the cupcakes are made from boxed cake mix and they fired the girl that was kidnapped.

It was good to see where you live and so many positive places to explore. Moved here from So California. Thanks for sharing your travels. Its like being there without being there!

I live in Hot Springs, btw it was the first National Park. Also the Pagoda has an awesome metallic echo my kids love it there, by the way Magic Springs & Crystal Falls Water and Theme Park is what you saw from the top of the Mountain Tower it was rated one of the top 10 parks in the US

Did you really only soak in your room? I love to see hot springs but prefer soaking in them. That museum would have been cool if it were still a bathhouse. This is a showcase type of park I guess. Would have liked to see the springs you could soak in, feel frustrated.

Awesome! I didn't know a thing about Hot Springs because nobody really goes there and REALLY nobody vlogs about it! So thanks! While there are quite a few other parks that are higher on my list, this video makes me look forward to the day I do get to Hot Springs.

Been Hot Springs. it is a beautiful area. The Arlington Hotel was where AL Capon stayed and you might want to ask them if you can see his room if it is not rented out. The Gangster museum is also a beautiful area to learn about the history.

Ahhh looks like a bit of a dud for a Nat. Park. Glad to see the review of it though.
Bit too many alligators crowded in a small area.
And they turned the baseball field into a parking lot? That's terrible!

Thanks man this is a breath of fresh air from all the negative news, crimes and chaos i hear in the US. I always wanted to travel to that country but discouraged thinking you can just get shot randomly.

Great information! I was there last week, and wish I had watched this before I went. I wasn't expecting much since everyone dogs this National Park, but it exceeded my expectations! I really enjoyed it!

Hopefully youll follow this up with a food video for Hot Springs. If you missed DeLucas Pizza while you were there you missed a real treat. One of the best in country IMHO.

You will have everything stolen from you in Hot Springs and the cops wont do jack to help you. They just refuse to take reports to try and lower the insane crime rates.
