ST PETE BEACH 2020 - Fort DeSoto, Pass-a-Grille, & Treasure Island Glad you included the Don Cesar, a magnificent place to stay or eat, and the sunset from the rooftop lounge you featured at the other resort is great as well. I prefer the city of St Pete for living, as the beach can be very crowded, though Pass-a-Grille is great. Friends of my parents lived in Treasure Island and they liked it a lot. The beaches are great, lots of recreational opportunities (I love Ft DeSoto Park, but I like culture, too, which is why I prefer St Pete, or Sarasota, or Tampa for living, while St Pete Beach is a vacation paradise.

We used to come to St, Pete Beach every May when I was growing up. For years, we stayed at the Coral Reef, but in 1981, my grandfather died, and the Reef was starting to go timeshare. So, we moved next door, to the Alden for the rest of our stays. Across Gulf Blvd, on the bay, my grand parents had a condo, so we'd get to sped time with them when they wintered there. So many good memories on St Pete Beach.

St. Pete Beach itself is dumpy af! It’s stuck in the 70’s. It doesn’t get nice until you get to Sand Key. The Sand Key Marriott on down to Clearwater is amazing and so beautiful.
I absolutely loved the drive from Clearwater to Tampa along the coastline with all the side stops in the area right before you get into Tampa. They make such amazing use of such beautiful scenery.

Excellent video, well done. We absolutely LOVE Caddy's on the Beach in Treasure Island! We stumbled upon it while in and had dinner right on the beach. live music, great drinks, magician and fire twirler. great time! The kid's meals came on frisbees which they got to keep. Not too mention tons of beach frontage. can't wait to go back!

Love the video you made put a big smile on my face but also made me miss it even more! I travel here most September's from the UK, unfortunately this year was called off. The place is amazing as well as the people and I hope I can make it next year.
It's my happy place. :D

I worked housekeeping at the Son Cesar in the 80s. The penthouse suite I recall because of the terrace. I lived on Sunset Beach then 32 years in downtown St. Pete. The parks, beaches are wonderful, Ft. DeSoto, I retired to New Mexico but miss the water tremendously

i spent 2 years there, my biggest complaint was PARKING. not even free scooter parking, unless your 10 blocks from anything but resdential housing. lol no matter where you go for fun in st pete. lol always expect 10% - 20% to the parking godz

Fort DeSoto is a COUNTY Park, not at state park. It operates by the Pinellas County park hours and rules. There is a fee to enter the park (well worth it) and any passes you might have for state or national parks are not accepted.

Your audio fed language app, is a wreck! More misspelled names and words are a shame! Oter than that a decent presentation, from a St. Pete
Bch. native and a resident of just between T. I and St. Pete.

Too bad that St. Pete Beach is not good on a bicycle. It's poorly planned out for getting around other than by car. As mentioned, it could be one of the coolest beaches in America if it had a long stretch of a boardwalk.

Coming down in early March, I’m sure we’ll spend time at the beach but are there pool bars you get get access to if you aren’t staying at the hotel/resort Would like to sit by a pool and get served drinks.

Loved this. I've only been to St Pete Beach once, a long time ago, but absolutely loved it. We went in the Hurricane in Pass-a-Grille, and remember a restaurant on Treasure Island called Captain Kosmakos

I've been looking for a rental in Clearwater. Before maybe looking south, I'm glad I got to visit the beach here once. I'm sorry there's no time to visit the beach in St. Pete.

Is there any place that is not a wedding venue It would kind of annoy me to book a vacation and then have to deal with a bunch of rowdy/drunk 20-somethings celebrating a wedding.

We recently stayed at the Alden Suites and it’s right on the beach. Loved it. Nothing fancy, but still very nice and had everything we needed for a lovely vacation.

wonderful. I know this is almost a year old, but just an fyi. Fort DeSoto is not a State Park. Hate to see someone go and try to use their State Park Pass to get in : (

I really really really hate the music. It's over bearing and I want to listen to what the man said. It's not cool it's not hip leave the music off

Best holiday I've been on St Pete's about 6 years ago staying on Ocean boulevard. highly recommended the Under Tow beach bar on Ocean boulevard.

Thinking about moving here in the next few years. I’m a Gulf side beach snob. The Atlantic side of Florida just doesn’t quite cut it for me.

What a beautiful place. I hope they do not put a sidewalk running along St. Pete Beach, it would ruin it. Thanks for posting.
