Nashville is a popular tourist city in the middle of Tennessee with an awesome food scene. Known for their hot chicken, but there are all sorts of other great food options ranging from BBQ to biscuits. Amie and I spent a few weeks there and here are a few of our favorite spots. Alex: This is what happens when a place becomes the it city. I love Nashville, my home town, I've lived there my whole life, and this video is beyond sad, it's downright pitiful. None of the real Nashville restaurants, such as the Loveless, or Jimmy Kelly's. Lord knows I'm sure I could ponder more if I took more time but this is just pitiful. This is what happens when outsiders come into a once lovely city. Before all this it city nonsense, we were known as The Athens of the South!

Biscuit love is wildly overrated, I'd much sooner recommend Germantown cafe. Best hot chicken is a little hole in the wall called pepperfire (very spicy but try the applefire to have your mind blown. Acme is meh, but i don't necessarily have an alternative recommendation for anything similar. The pharmacy is good, but overrated, with the best burger in Nashville IMO being Brown's Diner (been around forever, and not touristy at all (like most on this list) so only people who have lived in Nashville a long time know about it. San Antonio taco co is my personal favorite taco joint, and is very inexpensive. BBQ is way too controversial for me to touch. Just know wherever you go it'll probably be phenomenal in its own special way. Five Daughter's definitely deserves a spot on this list, so I can't complain there. But besides those I would recommend Merchant's on Broadway for fantastic modern takes on southern classics. Adele's for any hardcore foodies. Vui's Kitchen for some of the best Vietnamese you'll ever have with the benefit of having this edible cookie dough shop right next door (at the germantown location at least. Anyways I hope someone finds this useful.

They need to go to a place called Monel s. It s so good it s family style where you pass every thing to the left. And it s always served with their fried chicken witch is amazing. My favorite things are spinach stuffed shells, baked southern loaded potato salad, and the bbq ribs are my favorite savory dish there but if you want sweet they have the best peach preserves I have ever tasted and on a homemade southern buttered biscuit it amazing

From here so I m not going to share where the good places are to go but in response to Hattie B s vs Prince s, this is no contest. Prince s is far superior to Hattie B s. If I were Hattie B s, I would just close knowing that I cannot compete with Prince s. Hattie B s has no flavor in the meat of their chicken also, their chicken has a strange taint to the taste. Did not like it at all.

I grew up in the Nashville area from age 10 to age 19 leaving to go in the military. Came back for almost a year and YES i visited often. This list was just not right. just didn t do Nashville or the surrounding area justice. This is the first time I ve left a negative review like this one. Sorry yet you blew this.

Just saw the East Nasty fried chicken in two locations it does not belong, one in europe, and two in the gulch in nashville. Eastland and Mcferrin, is the successor to Princes. I have also had many a tru and tried vegetarian enjoy many a meal that contained meat and told them so. still no complaints.

From Los Angeles, living here 2+ years and moving to Colorado in 6 months. NASHVILLE IS OVERRATED AS HELL! IM OUT! The food and service industry is trash. southern food this southern food that and it's not even that fire.

Having lived here in Nashville now for 12 years, I can tell you that Nashville is crime-ridden and no place for tourist. The government here has a disdain for the music industry downtown and refuses to do anything to protect it.
