I have to say I am NOT even the most amateur of gamblers, so I don't waste time on that, but we NEVER stay less than 7 days in Vegas because there are a million things to do besides gambling, especially if you just take a little trip OFF the Strip! But even if you just want to stay on the strip, they have all those show, the zoo/dolphins at Ceasars, the Amusement park at Circus Circus. the canals at the Venetian, etc etc etc. The last time we went we all stayed at Bellagio with the Conservatory and private museum, and just made a day of making a loop around 'The Strip. We went to Bacchanal buffet for lunch, walked to the Zoo/dolphins, walked to the 'Eiffel Tower' at Paris for the viewing deck and restaurant, saw the car museum at Wynn, the coaster and amusement park at Circus Circus, half of us went to the Venetian for the canal ride while half went to weird robot battle back at Circus Circus stadium (it was actually kinda cool, did a sightseeing/photo tour on the monorail and actually had a railcar to ourselves, had dinner at a fabulous Mexican restaurant at Linq, rode the huge Ferris Wheel behind the Linq (High Roller, settled the kids back at the Bellagio, and went back to the Linq for a very entertaining Drag Show. This took NO Concierge service/charges, no extra effort except getting the tickets early for the Drag show, and only two taxi van rides for Stratosphere. I'd highly recommend using the Monorail over the taxis (although that takes a little walking to get to the rear of the casinos, but the bus system is also highly effective! LOVE your vids Mr. Wolters!

I could never go to Las Vegas as a kid at all, as my parents would never take me there at all. I had a late friend who went there when he was a kid, but I could never go there at all. It took until I was 32 years old in the year 2000, when I finally went there for my first time.
They have more place where kids can have fun now but it is only one place such as the Circus, Circus Resort.
For me since I live in Southern California, I will just drive my own vehicle there to Las Vegas as it only a four to five hour drive to get there and get home, plus I have my own transportation to get around there.

I can tell you for sure that Las Vegas Blvd is a LOT of walking. I walked all the way from Circus Circus to the Bellagio and it was a pretty good hike. Definitely rent a car and drive to Hoover Dam, it's definitely worth it. The food is really good. The buffets at the casinos are good for the price, albeit they are a little pricey. If you were to ask me if Vegas is worth a visit, I would say yes it is worth a visit.

Gambling gets boring with the fake video game slots. Wish they'd have real video games (with crazy good AI) that you can at least pretend to play against. Was really surprising to see the video game graphics of the gambling but all you are is pushing a single button or handle. IMHO, would enjoy gambling more if there was a more I'm actually playing element to it, and it wasn't just stuck to the card tables.

My tip to everyone: if you like to drink, decide what you like to drink and find a bar that has that particular drink on special or happy hour for that day of the week. Its a great way to plan out your nightly places to visit, and save a few bucks on your bar bill.

Don't try to walk the entire strip in mid-August in 45 degree Celsius (115 Farenheit) weather while hungover and dehydrated from the night before. I'm pretty sure I almost developed heat stroke.

Last several times I was in Vegas, the cabs didn't take credit cards! I have had health issues. So, it's been a few years. Has this changed?

I advise getting bus passes on a bus pass on a off strip stop. It's much cheaper & can still be used on the strip busses.
