Prague is the most wonderful place in the world, it has a magic that no other city has. I've heard about the drunks as Milan Razga below I guess most of these people are tourists, I'm ashamed to say a lot of them will be English as I'm from England to, these people do not represent me though, I've been to Prague 5 times, I usually stay for at least a week. I've never seen the drunks though, or the parties, yes I been in the centre at the weekend. Also I've never been ripped off anywhere I have eaten in Prague, this could be cos I'm vegan and vegan places don't treat people like that, There's a restaurant right in the centre of the old town, go there a lot great vegan food really friendly and very cheap, for me Prague is the vegan capital of Europe. I love the people so friendly and welcoming, easy to get around, public transport is so cheap, such a safe city even at night on the metro, yes there are pickpockets but, it's the same in any big city, I've been way out of the centre and never felt in any danger. So much history, so much music, I've never felt so at peace, or at home anywhere. Oh and of course the beer is wonderful If I could move to Prague, I wold go tomorrow, but things in my life are complicated. he worts thing about going to Prague is having ot come back to UK, it gets harder every time, Yes i've also been there in the winter when its pretty cold, I was there February 2018, most days it was between minus 8 and minus 12, the final. morning I was there it was minus 15, I knew it would be cold so I was prepared. To me it makes no difference, even when it's well below zero and it's raining Prague is still the greatest city in the world. I hope to return in November, depends on the situation with the Covid 19 virus

I have been to Prague last month with my husband to celebrate my 30th and sorry to say but I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone. Servers are RUDE and DEMAND tips from you! This is very unusual and unheard of in other parts of Europe. People don't have to pay tips and even if they don't we expect pleasant service. We stayed at the centre and ALL the restaurants & cafes we visited were disappointing and overpriced. Don't go to Prague, its honestly nothing special and the centre is tiny and the rest of Prague is just nothing special at all. Taxi drivers are also rude and very expensive! OH and not to mention, all fast food restaurants will CHARGE you for ketchup and salt/pepper.

Bravo! Your presentation of my favorite Central European city was informative, entertaining, enthusiastic, etc. your articulate outline of what Prague is all about was right on the mark, and reminds me of my late friend joe, who was also well traveled, and also able to capture the essence of a place with brevity, and good humor. He once recommended, to a persistent and obnoxious (drunk) guy going to Prague, to visit the budvar factory, get a bunch of beers, lock himself in his hotel room, and he would have a wonderful time.

I go there for czech food. I am hungarian but Its cheaper and better then in eastern Slovakia or Hungary. Parties are only good if you r younger then 24 a and u r from west. I didnt see czech girls in the disco only foreigners who want to meet forigners. Oh and Trdelnik is not Czech its actually Hungarian from Transylvania. I was 27 years ago in Prague and nobody was selling Trdelnik. They just like to make it their own these days as it is goid business. Order food like Svickova or Vepro Knedlo Zelo, these are czech foods

I LOVE this city. When i go, i always stay at Charles Bridge Economic Hostel. It's clean, cheap, you meet cool people and it's right on the other side of the bridge from Karlovy Lazne (which is nothing but a big, drunk, sausage fest: -(. The only down side is when you have a room above that main street and at 3 am all the drunk Brits are coming off the bridge screaming like dicks. Wonderful, gorgeous city with Great and friendly people.

Mr. Wolters you really have the imppecable sense for irony as if you talk (cca 6: 30) about Prague not being destroyed during WW2 while standing right in front of the probably the only one historical building in Prague center that really was destroyed during WW2 - yes, that missing part of Old Town City Hall was burned down by nazis in early May 1945 and had to be demolished, so it is a park there now. :) But great video anyway. ;)

Prague wasn't destroyed during WW2 that's correct. Funny thing is that you have Old Townhall behind you which is the perfect example of destroyed buildings during American bombing during ww2: D. They just made a mistake and bombed Prague instead of Dresden. (All European cities look like the same from above right)

So the place is crawling with unsavory, unruly, drunk, pestering, drug-addict looking characters, not to mention overrun by rowdy, party-seeking tourists; so why should the rest of it matter! Thanks for the heads up; already crossed off my list.

Yes it is unique and dont miss the zoo, which is awesome, and the museums. They also have a few thrift shops if you look. Do remember to wear sturdy shoes as the cobblestone streets can wear you out. The entire country is beautiful.

I liked the city, I felt that the ppl were nice enough, it was somewhat easy to get around, it wasn't cheap perse but affordable, no complaints. Walking tours are a must, the history of the place will blow your mind.
