Thinking of heading to Central Europe for vacation holidays? Here we give you the Top 10 spots to nostalgia: I guess geographical borders can be assigned to sometimes different locations as in directions, in this case, giving them a more social-economic, and often-times political implication, but to my mind, and that of many other people, Hungary truely is in Eastern Europe. Switzerland is also in the west, and this is because Austria has arguably been considered as the transition country, dividing the west and the east, over the centuries. Only Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Cz rep and sort of Slovenia are Central. But Slovenia is considered more of a southern country though.

I had a great time in Slovenia and Poland. Both great places. Stayed in Warsaw and in Ljubljana and went up to lake Bled. All great places! Almost took a bus to Venice and back but decided to stay and hang in Ljubljana some more. No regrets! I was a block away from the Dragon Bridge right next to that old Bicycle factory that the anarchists live in.

My God, people going crazy about their country being in Central Europe and not Eastern Europe. Theyre labeled Eastern Europe because they were part of the Eastern Block led by Russia after WW2. This just stuck and you cant undo it. Cmon guys dont get so upset.

So happy to see Gdansk on this list. Love love love Poland. Krakow and Gdansk were my absolute favorite part of my trip there. Buy some amber when youre in Gdansk! And take the drive if you have a car to see Malbrok castle.

As for the guy named Stephen I or Saint Stephen, he did not only make Hungary Christian. He made Hungary. Literally. He was the very first king of Hungary, crowned in 1000 AD.

Being from Switzerland, it's weird to hear it be referred to as a central european country. Maybe geographically you could make the argument but stil.

Great video! Thank you for calling Poland as Central Europe. I really appreciate as we indeed are central both mentally and culturally.
