Visit Iceland - 10 Things That Will SHOCK You About Iceland - Wolters World christopher: John 3: 16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God

Here is some tips I learned when I went
1: Icelanders may not admit to believing in the hidden people[Folklore like tiny people that hide] but many do and there are some accounts of the government stopping road construction due to hidden people inhabitants.
2: Don't call the Icelandic Horses Ponies there horses call them horses
3: You can pay with card anywhere
4: Tour drivers like being payed in USD due to it's value
5: DON'T WALK ON THE MOSS!
6: When you land in keflavick look around a bit at the old U. S. air force base pretty cool place btw there is old bunkers from ww2 and cold war all over iceland
7: Don't drink the bottled water complete waste of money the tap may smell but it's perfectly safe

Yes, it's cold. We went in August 2005 and the warmest it got was 59F. Seemed like there are more sheep than people. And you can go on small tours instead of driving. We took one I coined The Magical Mystery Tour for the locations we went to, the people that joined, and the charming, handsome driver. And I don't know what they feed their cows and girls because as my son noted, best ice cream ever and gorgeous girls.

How are people shocked by our hot thermal spas? That is the reason most come. Also, why would we not wear our own traditional jumpers? This was very funny but so happy to hear we are nice people. Extra advice - don't buy water here the water in our taps is better and don't go walking without a guide on the glaciers = a problem I have to deal with constantly.

We are very nice to tourists, not so much to each oher lol. Iceland is pretty safe (not perfect) from crime and stuff but the real dangers are natural forces which can (and will) get you if you ignore warning signs. Tourists get lost, killed and swept to sea all the time here. Everyone welcome, but respect our land and nature. Great video.

We had a great time hiking and seeing the sights in Iceland, and thought it was funny there are no safety rails anywhere. Survival of the fittest. Cant believe he didn't mention the penis museum. We never drank or went out to eat there, since it was extremely expensive, like 6 dollars for a beer. Still a great time.

For such an avid traveler you should have known about NOT walking all over the moss! Ill only been to about 15 countries but NOT touching the delicate moss was one of the first things that came up on Iceland travel sites.

You're not kidding about the temperature. I'm from Southern Ontario, and May in Iceland was like March back home. Still a great trip, but it's a good thing I wasn't expecting more than MAYBE low double-digits.

WOW, I can just wonder the amount of $$$$$$$$$$ Wolters World makes! Icelanders are adorable people I agree.
The SHOCKING THING is how expensive things are in Iceland, BRUTALLY overpriced!

Just discovered your Youtube site as I am researching Iceland. This is the second video and we have enjoyed both. You have given great tips. And we can't wait to book a trip.
