I was in Germany for 6 weeks in the early 1980s as a student, and maybe this is not the case so much any longer, but I was shocked that all the shops including the grocery store shut down for 2 hours during lunch time. I thought this was only in Italy and Spain prior to this. This was a problem for me, as I had not opted for the food plan where I was studying. Also, I was vegetarian and it was almost impossible to find anything prepared, such as canned soup, without meat in it, even if it was labeled vegetable soup. I think that meant it only had a bit less pork in it! Also, in the grocery stores, I found that all produce is behind the counter and so I had to ask their staff for each item, as people were not permitted to just take them from the shelves themselves. I can still remember the word for peaches: pfirsiche (I think. The woman who helped always smiled at my attempt to pronounce it. Another thing: I had never been a big fan of beer until I tried it in Germany, which might be obvious to some but I never guessed it could taste so good. Also, be ready for nude sunbathing/swimming at the lakes there. You might feel awkward if you actually have clothes on (at least, this is what I've heard) Anyway. Thanks for the video!

I love traveling too (I love Paris, Belgium, Montreal, Caribbean, coastal US cities) but it ain't free and stocks are one way to make money.
, AMAZON:
Yep, I bought a ton on the dip. It's getting cheaper relative to its current earnings (half compared to last year.
. With the Delta virus coming at full speed ahead, pandemic sales will make a comeback.
Amazon's not going anywhere so I know that eventually it will come back.
Fidelity considers Amazon as a large growth company (probably because as big as it is, it still only has 7% of the retail market)
buying via Amazon Smile donations donates some money to my favorite charity too!
Get on board or be runover, it's up to you.

Awesome video! The biggest shock for me was paying for condiments like ketchup! Europe is huge for trying to upcharge on every tiny little thing. I have not seen this any where else in the world except EU and UK. A roommate in a hostel in Brussels who was from Austria said it was because people would stockpile that stuff. Same with the free refills. He said they did try it and people would bring in huge containers to fill. I guess its just because of the amount of customers which makes it a problem. You see about 10 times the amount of customers in a Mcdonalds in Europe vs the US.

Two things that were amazing: The Autobahn ( public rail system) in Munich seemed to be for people who were quite tall as compared to some other countries where the passenger cabin height is lower. The second thing that I noticed in Munich was how crystal clear green the river which runs through the city is. To stand by the river on a hot summer day is an unforgettable experience because it is so very refreshing! We saw black rolling thunder clouds in the afternoon while driving just East of the Munich area. What a fabulous sight!

Yeah many people pay with cash, mostly small amounts. I personally pay everything by card, only by cash if it's inevitable. But I think it's changing, because more and more people wanna pay with their card or phone, especially the younger ones.
And it's definitely not normal to pay 3000 with cash haha.

To be honest as a 30 years old German I am of course ashamed of Nazis. But at the same time it has been so long since this happened. Nobody who was in charge back then is still alive. So, while still feeling shame, I also think that we should stop being blamed for Nazis all the time.

Dude I still dont understand how Americans think Bavaria - the only state of Germany which doesnt really wants to be associated with Germany - is the whole Germany. literally. except some European rules. Bavaria is so extremely different to the rest of Germany.

During the 2nd war 4. 3 million brothers, sons, fathers, never came home. Yes there were terrible events, they also bleed and suffered and no not all Germans are Nazis, in fact most were not, but answered the call to defend the country.

Why are alot of those countries charging to use the bathroom? What if you are poor? Everyone just goes outside? If I was poor over there I would poop right in front of the bathrooms

The waitress who didn't understand that he wanted an English menu when he asked Do you have an English menu? was either rude or dense. I lived there for 7 1/2 years.
