Lucky you, i served in Germany on three tours with the US Army, the Thuringer Wurst was behind the Iron Curtain. and you make it look so good! Russians must have valued their time in East Germany. now Germany, or Deutschland. Thanks for some great memories. Yes I was a whole life Knackwurst and bratwurst nut! My mom is from old Prussia, born in Falkenwalde, not Pennsylvania. Married a nice southern Air Corps Sergeant and also learned to cook Sweet potato pie (to die for) and catfish! Mom became very southern for a Prussian. Her fried Chicken also. to die for! Peace!

what we have here in the us tastes nothing like german wurst. i think it's cuz ours have way more preservatives, there's an off taste that i pick up. plus probably inferior ingredients. hard to enjoy after having had good wurst.

Go to Iceland an try their hot dog which they sell in the harbour aeria, and visit their hamburgerrestaurant called Hamburgarfabrikkan They serve the best lamburger in the whole of Europe, according to me.

Nurnbergers are the best! Love them at Christmas Markets! Also like Weiswurst with pretzels and sweet mustard! Missed going to the German Christmas Markets this year!

Hey I was stationed there in Bamberg. The Rathaus, very unique building in Bamberg that you cant miss when walking around downtown.
