My wife and I just got back from Negril, Jamaica. Honeymoon. Im both West Indian and Im a New Yorker real talk, its a different vibe now since Covid hit the island hard. I was friendly and patient with the vendors by saying a chill, nah Im good. Theyd come back 5 minutes later trying to sell me weed and edibles. But it got out of hand when one drunk older bredren approached me while walking on the beach with my wife to make small talk. I was cool until he asked me to hold his drink while he tried to pull out a bunch of beads, I said NO of course, because you dont ask another man, especially a stranger to hold your drink. he got annoyed and tried to make his way over to my wife to
make another sales pitch. I knew what he was trying to do so as soon as he tried go around me to approach her I put my elbow into his back and pushed him forward with my forearm knocking him off balance and he spilled his drink. Still desperate to sell some beads, he stumbles forward as Im pushing him, pulls out a whole bunch of beads, swings around and asked my wife to hold them, she stepped back and shouted NO! I started to get up in his face to tell him to back off and he turned around so fast and walked away without saying another word. Still, I didnt like the way that went down. And I dealt with that the whole time we walked the beach. The more polite I was at saying no, the more they came back. I had to be more firm than any of my previous trips. Its definitely a different vibe since visiting during lockdown. I know times are hard but you cant force anyone to buy whatever your selling thats regardless of the country you in.

Been all over jamaica and survive on very little money and have my own ways means. and rising up. when u go to tourist areas, u got alot of people who are dead center on us and other dollars after money. and its like the signs u see in park. dont feed animals because they become agressive and dependant. well not the park but in tourit areas where its a game to see how much u can get off people. but when some persons dont get what they want and joe bucks sorry for you hands a guy a 20. and u die for that. its nothing ok. Jamaica is full of great things but beware of what your feeding there as people who dont understand the real. when someone is also watching your potential and eye balling it to take it from you and feed his cohorts or any person with some very agressive schemes. of mind control reading and other. to show off how bright they can be. some peole just play dumb. being i was kind to one person and not his source and it was over. it did not end and not sure who ws the top of pyramid of the scheme of murder. and it happens all over like nyc to. in reverse of people watching my life in Jamaica. and have same intentions. life sucks with that.

love Jamaica exept some of persons are destroy the vibe and place and white people are feeding what the agenda is. by not correcting peoples intentions and paving palms that led t murder abuse of other and destruction of innocent lives. as if no one struggles and they use pitty as nine to five to get dollars from people. sympathy then cut others down. like ur mkaing someone make money and they udermine toehrs means to live. which is problem in tourist areas, where they get like ideas of how to use others ways to means and crime goes on murder.

I went to jamaica in 2016 to see my family and for my auntie's (who is also British) wedding, I stayed in montego Bay and we started going out a day or two after arriving, we went to the blue hole in ocho rios as well as my auntie's house in Kingston, we also went to the blue lagoon in portland which is where my grandad is from.

My husband and were in jamaica for the day via a cruise trip and we did not feel safe there at all. once we were outside the gated area by the cruiseship it was like we were hounded. it was scary. As for the tourist excursions we did. it was a total waste of money. Jamaicans were all about taking your money.

Bull. We eat a lot of fish in jamaica. More than beef. Depending on what part in jamaica you are living. Jamaica have seafood in abundance.
