Just came from Paris and I did find the food overrated. I did love their bread and desserts, but the meals were pretty meh. By overrated I don't mean I disliked the food, I just mean that it has always been painted as being the best food in the world, the best chefs, etc. When in reality it just depends on what restaurant you go to. I've had way better consistent quality meals in Italy, Spain, Japan, Argentina and Uruguay. Maybe the skills you need to find great restaurants in Paris are different than in other countries; ) Also RESERVATIONS! It was extremely hard to find a spot available if you didn't have a previous reservation at least 2 days ahead of time.

I m from Paris. I live in paris with my daughter and never took her to climb the eiffel tower. That's a waste of time. It's better to have a sight since 'L'arc de Triomphe', only 10 minutes to wait and climb. When u re on the top of the eiffel tower u ll be desappointed. U ll see Paris wiithout the Eiffel Tower. U ll have the feeling that something is missing. So remember there are many things to see in Paris, don't climb the tower, just go to see it.

I've been to Paris in 12/1999 and 6/2018, as well as the Loire Valley, Normandy, western Belgium. I have not taken the TGV, I've rented a car both times.
Manhattan has trash bags on the sidewalk, Paris has dog doodoo.
I only agree with you about the Mona Lisa.
Going there outside of summer when there's fewer tourists is a better experience, and also that was in 12/1999 twenty years ago.

PARIS is NOT dirty, I am from New York and I lived in Los Angeles, CA, and Visited London, England 3 times and I can honestly say, that all 3 of those major cities; New York City, Los Angeles, and London, England, are truly way more Dirty and Disgusting than Paris is anytime! Paris was pretty COOL, from my perspective, and LONDON, England is a LOT more dirty than PARIS. Just Saying.

I strongly disagree with you about the Eiffel Tower. My wife and I absolutely LOVED it. The views are amazing, and we really enjoyed the experience. In my opinion, no trip to Paris is complete without going up on the Eiffel Tower. That said, LOVE your videos and we always watch them before we go anywhere. Keep up the great work you do to help the traveling community.

I went in May 2016, got told to speak English when I tried to speak french, they asked first if I was american, I walked from Eiffel Tower to the Musoleum, No metro for 500M for sure on that part,
But May, there were no tourists, because every afternoon it rains.

The waiters are usually foreigners They are rarely French. The French are some of the friendliest people in Europe. You have to know who is French and who isn't. The rude are rarely French. Just because someone speaks French doesn't mean they are French.

I love that about Paris, that You can have a Picnic right there in the middle of the city with Rush hour Traffic and Millions of Tourists, and you are still able to Relax and have a Bottle of Wine right there, No Big Deal.
