I was nodding my head at every single thing you said. UNITIL. you said fill your belly at Tim Hortons and that their sandwiches are better than Subway. Canadians only go there because out of all restaurants and coffee shops, it has the most locations. Quality hasn't been high in decades. McDonalds and Starbucks have better coffee. Pastries are better at Krispy Kreme and even McDonalds. Sandwiches are also better elsewhere. You're better off driving those extra kilometers to find better fast food.

Some people have mentioned weapons in Canada. For your knowledge base, I can carry a 4 folding blade, it's a weapon with the max blade length. I can also carry a large knife for camping, etc. As long as it's visible. A cop would try to say it isn't legal, yet I got it at gas station. Just nervous cop. NOW, if I take the blade out of the folding knife and use the handle to dummy someone, it's considered a weapon use outside of normal parameters. I know a woman who was charged with assault. The weapon? A cake

Two more Dont's I would add:
1. Canada is more than Vancouver and Toronto (real estate prices elsewhere are significantly lower. Most of the major tourist attractions are outside of these cities anyway. If you have a vehicle at your disposal, stay in Hamilton, Port Colborne or Guelph for Toronto/Niagara Falls; it's much cheaper, even with the cost of parking.
2. Don't order beer when eating out. It isn't worth the cost. Ordering tap water is perfectly okay and is free of charge.

This is soooo on point, this best summary I've seen thus far. Great Job man. You can check out Wah Gwaan Tour when next you return to our beautiful Island, this takes you to our local market to taste some refreshing fruits and then into rural Jamaica just outside the town of Falmouth into the community Usain Bolt grew up, see more details on Trip Advisor. Again you did an awesome job as i gave a few others thumbs down but you deserve 10 thumbs up!

Who's funding these videos? what a scam this guy has going! A lot of these comments aren't Canada-specific, they're just common sense anywhere!
Don't forget your manners? Don't line jump? Don't mad rush public transit? Don't forget to tip at sit down restaurants? Don't throw away your coins?
Man, I should be flown around the world to come up with such half assed, insulting videos!

The thing is, the US and Canada really aren't that different. Canadian YouTuber JJ McCullough has a really good video explaining why Canadians need to get over this idea that they are so different from the US when in reality they aren't. Sure calling them a 51st state is rude but culturally Canada shares more similarities with the US than differences.

My advice would be not to go to Canada. One time I tried and asked the border force to a souvenir stamp in my passport. They rewarded me with several hours of going through my belongings and my phone, talking about my private messages, and eventually denying me entry with some ridiculous made-up reason.

The weather is pretty good from May all the way through October and the fall is gorgeous here and you can come for Christmas which is gorgeous. Try Montreal or Quebec City for Christmas or even Ottawa. My mother came from the U. S to spend Christmas here and was shocked how beautiful it was.

Seriously, your comment about A&W is so true! I'm a Canadian and I love A&W up here, if I'm going to do fast food, it's usually there. The first time I had A&W in the United States I couldn't even finish half of it, so different and not nearly as good.

Oh my lord. I'm glad you enjoyed it but, Tim Hortons is decidedly meh. Harvey's is downright awful but, OMG Beavertails! YES! There are a ton of locally run great restaurants throughout the country too and many are really wonderful.
