Something to know before you go: you wont understand the locals. The Welsh speak English as if they are completely drunk AND have a mouth full of oatmeal.
Every time I had to fly on British C130s in Afghanistan they let the Welsh crewman give the pre takeoff safety brief, the first time I was sitting next to an English Contractor, I turned to him and asked what is he saying? The response was, dont worry mate, we cant understand them either. Its a safety brief, youve flown on C130s before, just do the same stuff on ours as yours.
I like Welsh people, they are friendly as hell, I just cant understand 95% of what they say.

Spent a week in Wales about two years ago. Did a three day horse ride through the Brecon Beacons area with Freerein near the Hay-on-Wye area. So true about the stores closing by six. Also, the weather is tough to figure out. We were there in early May and came prepared for three days of rain. Instead, we had one day of drizzle and two days of gorgeous sunny 75 degree weather were we got sunburned because of not being prepared for sun. Also, try the laverbread, it really is good. Great country and great people. Everything Mark mentions in this video is what we experienced!

Nice. we were supposed to be leaving for the UK next week to spend a few days in northern Wales before going out on a canal boat for a couple of weeks. What with the COVID-19 thing, that trip has fallen through, but we have pushed it back to next year.
So here's a vacation idea for you. a hired narrow boat on the canals of the UK.

Hi Mark, we are still on lockdown here in Wales but we've had the driest and sunniest spell for years, typical! As soon as it opens up again we bet the rain returns. Wales is definitely worth a visit when normality returns, very underrated and lots to see and do (lots and lots of castles too, we all actually live in one.

I know the date is shown as 27th May 2020 but I can't help wondering if this an old video? We've had the best weather I can remember for years over the last couple of months - funnily enough since about the time lockdown started. Apart from 1 downpour which lasted an hour, I can't remember when we had rain last.

Is that TV show Call Centre still running? I watched some episodes years ago. They can be funny for such a cold and dreary looking place. I remember Tom Jones with all those ladies on his show and his What's Up Pussycat? song. Most people these days probably have no idea who he is.

MEDDWL THE STEP Good Lord thats a horrific mistranslation of Mind the Step.
Meddwl is Mind as in the noun body and mind not the verb as in do you mind.
This happens when non-Welsh speaking proprietors try to do bilingual signs without having a fluent speaker check it.

In Merthyr Tydfil there is a castle/Musium. It has so much information about the area and what it was like during the second world war. It's worth the look. It's in a huge nature park and is covered in greenery and flowers. You should check it out Wolter

It Rains literally everywhere! Wales isn't the only country that has that type of climate. England and Scotland share the same wether system as Wales does. South Wales is actually considered to be one of the most temperate parts of Britain.
