In todays vlog we head to Daytona, Florida to Susan: I'm from near Charlotte NC and we have 10 days of May ending with the Charlotte 500 and the BOA 400 in October. I never got the whole NASCAR thing. It made the traffic even worse. And when the first Cars came out, the premiere was at Charlotte motor speedway. We watched 12 laps and that was boaring. But at Christmas they have a Christmas lights display and it ends with you being on the track which is cool.
But I'm like you Tim. I'm clueless when it comes to drivers. The Petty family has a black tie event every year to raise money for their charity. Our travel agency donated a cruise to the auction and because I had evening gowns. I was chosen to present the cruise. I met a bunch of drivers and had no idea who they were. But very nice people.

14: 36 Lower is better, drag (air pushing the car) can get underneath the car and slow it down. The slightest adjustment on ride height (which is what Tim is referring to) can make a ton of difference in speed. It also helps with fuel efficiency. you don't want to go too low, however, as it could have a negative effect on your suspension causing poor corner performance and a loose car (spinouts)

Fun fact, all the tires are NOT the same. Even though they are the same size and have no tread design, tires very slightly during production and the crew chief keeps track of which series numbers test best and sends a crew member to pick those out those specifically for their team.

I'm sad this video did not get a lot of views like the theme park vids because it was really interesting and different to watch. I am not into Nascar at all but it was still a cool vid and I learned a lot. Thanks for filming!

The actual race ran on Monday February 17 and resulted in a very serious wreck during the final lap, our thoughts are with Ryan Newman and his family. We hope he makes a speedy and full recovery.

When I lived in Indiana 20 years ago, I got to drive my mustang around the track on carb day. Something I will never forget. I loved your video today and behind the scenes. Look forward to next year!

Another great video! Very cool to see something different like this. You should come to the Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day Weekend! It's the Greatest Spectacle in Racing! :D
