The smell of vomit, feces and urine. The nasty, ill tempered and despressed people who haven't seen the sun in months. The disgusting food prepared in filthy kitchens. The traffic jam on crumbling streets. The riots and looting. Portland is the perfect example of what a city looks like when it's run by incompetent politicians, and subsequently becomes a magnet for every loser in the country. I will never go back. If you're from Portland I have to wonder what the hell is wrong with you.

You forgot the 23rd out of state package deal you can do & rather than pay for your vacation, get paid handsomely! You'll be provided with a head to toe costume & be bused in to burn & loot. It's fun & safe since the mayor & city council welcomes you! Have a fun vacation & bring all your favorite colors of spray paint! Portland LOVES its new downtown look!

THANK YOU. I almost exited because your commentary lacks enthusiasm, being more 'fact after fact'. But I sat it out and learned a lot; including you inserting your own preferences once you got to food. You gave me much food for thought, and I now lean towards Portland as my switch-over when going LA to Montana by land (Amtrak, Greyhound, Amtrak)

one time (probably 3 years ago) i went to that same voodoo doughnuts and they sound us 10 pounds of doughnuts for 10. 00! it was the size of a home depot bucket filled to the top (2 of them) for just 10. 00 flat. it was so great had leftover doughnuts in the freezer for like the next few months

I've never been to Portland, Oregon(or Oregon in general, but this looks like one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Unfortunately, it has way too many misty, and gloomy days.
