Lexie's story is NOT a survival story. Her story is NOT honoring those who died in this tragic accident. The victims who were there spent the last moments of their life in pure terror; Lexie was NOT there and has NO connection to those experiences.
Sharing this story and pretending she could have died is shameful and sad. Again, SHE WASN'T THERE. Her visit to the crash site was not respectful because once again she made it about her in making a big deal about the rain -not wanting her to leave. - The cinematic footage was all about her and her monetary goals to get views, not about honoring the people who died there.
I am glad that she wasn't there so she wasn't counted among the victims, but please don't make these horrible events about you.

This is so helpful. As a person who has dealt with anxiety on many levels, it prevented me from traveling via airplane for a long time. My dreams were evaporating while my desire to take back control grew larger. With some help from professionals, friends, family, and YouTube, I've been flying for a few years and found a way to take back that precious time that you talked about. Thank you for sharing this story; I wish no one had to have their story cut short, but you continuing to share yours instead of bowing down to fear has got to be worth something.

Click bait title for some self indulgent melodrama. You were never booked on that flight. It-s not the flight you should have died on. It-s a flight you COULD have died on. If you had booked this flight then changed it last minute, that would be a different situation. This just feels like you-re using a tragedy to talk about yourself and to make YouTube content that-ll get clicks. It feels gross.

I changed my mission trip plans and went another direction two days earlier to Tanzania. When I returned a week later to Addis, I had a completely unmarked, white -replacement- plane for the flight. That's when it really hit me that my EA flight crew were probably still feeling the loss of their co-workers and still had to carry on with their jobs.

Seth McFarlane, founder and creator of Family Guy nearly died on American Airlines Flight 11, which slammed into the North Tower, WTC. The night prior, he had a severe hangover, got to the airport late, and overslept at the lounge. Thankfully, nobody woke him up to inform him that he was about to miss his flight! Thank God you were not on that flight. I can totally understand how it must feel as an almost death experience. When you tell the/a story watch your breathing. I don't know if you notice but sometimes you just stop in the middle of a sentence because you're out of breath.

Making money off peoples deaths, classy - just be grateful you weren-t on it, what-s the point in making a video acting like a victim? If everyone made a video of times they avoided death by not being some where you-d never hear the end of it.
