china airlines from LA to Bangkok, had congee that seemed to have fish and shitake mushrooms. it was actually really really good, my first time eating congee until i arrived at fiance's house, where mom bought the plastic baggies of congee and THAT was even better! but airplane food, yea, it's actually quite yummy. chicken and rice with sauce. i really miss the experience. they even gave us free wine, and these were the cheap seats.

Haneda is now a much better airport than Narita. Lots of renovations and upgrade over last few years. A much newer and brighter airport than Narita. Just my opinion. And you can't beat the distance and transportation to downtown.

I've learned when flying Asian carriers it's always a safer bet to choose their own dish over the Western choice. Nobody does regional meals better than the Asian carrier itself. Same goes for Euro carriers if given a choice.

I am going to Japan in 5 months on ANA and I also got a deal on my plane ticket from Chicago to Haneda! It's an amazing airline and the food and seat were awesome! I flew it once before to Australia.
