Mark Wiens Banana Chips - Worldwide Shipping Available Now: Sichuan Airlines - In order to travel to Tibet, we took a flight with Sichuan Airlines from Chengdu to Lhasa. #Sichuan #Chengdu #Lhasa #airplanefood I had no idea what to expect of Sichuan Airlines, but actually it-s a pretty nice airline, nicely maintained airplane, and the service was great. Even though it was a short 2 hour flight, they served a full meal of rice, and the best touch about food on Sichuan Airlines is that you can ask for Sichuan chili oil sauce to add to the top of your food - best touch ever for an airline - who wouldn-t want extra Sichuan chili oil on an airplane! Lhasa, Tibet - Landing in Lhasa was spectacular, the scenery and high elevation mountains were gorgeous. The airport is about an hour drive from the center of Lhasa, and so drove into Lhasa, and then checked into Hang-Suk Trichang Labrang Hotel. Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street - After checking in to our hotel, we then walked around Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, the center of the city and one of the most important places in Lhasa. It was a great day, great flight with Sichuan Airlines for the first time. Thank you to Travel China & Tibet Tours

Mark, I love ur vids. I hate to say this, but ur recent vids in Tibet make me very uncomfortable. Stop promoting Tibet as an individual state as in the title. I don't care whichever point of the view u are having, the fact is Tibet is one of the territories of China, which is recognized by the UN and the officials of EVERY sounding country on this planet.
Until that changes, please make sure ur title respect to the people in the nation.
Id hate to bring political talks into a food chanel, but isn't it sharing good food for promoting culture exchange and dismissing misunderstandings? While u were on a Chinese airline, enjoying Chinese food, getting the Chinese visa to Tibetian region, at least to take some precaution to not offend the average Chinese people, rite?

I lived in Taiwan in the 1970s. I went on a school trip down island to a town where few Americans ever went. We lived in a Chinese style hotel and ate all of our meals at awesome little street restaurants. We had one breakfast that was almost exactly like the one Mark eats in this video. I remember that they called the rice porridge -gruel-. We ate the bean milk like soup with a Chinese spoon. They also had long fried bread sticks (Youtiao. They had air pockets in them and were sort of like what we call churros in San Antonio. I love going on trips with Mark. He makes it feel like we are there with him.

Tibet does not belong to China and Mark Wiens should not bow to People Republic of China Claims at the beggining of the video where they display a banner that says TCT travel China Tibet, people are being prosecuted and killed there, do not portray it as a piece of China-s paradise jut for a couple of thousand likes, shame on you Mark -

You have fulfilled what many Tibetans have wished to see their Country TIBET for more than 60 years. I am so happy to see the environment and enthusiastic that you have shown. Sadly though this place LHASA (GOD'S PLACE)
belong to TIBET, it has chinese flag all over the building especially the monasteries.

Mark you should be ashamed of yourself! Your documentation skills are just as horrible as your food reviewing! Everything is great right? Even when you get controlled by the Chinese Army every 100 feet and you barely mention it! Bourdain is turning in his grave! You dishonest unethical shame of human!

Your little boy Micah will have seen the whole world before he reaches kindergarten! I used to do the same with my boys when they were little. Now my grandkids travel every where with their parents! It-s the best education and I am proud of you. Have a great time. -

Is politics correct? How can Xinjiang be so peaceful and peaceful? What about public security on the street? What about the crying girl? How many millions of Tibetans are being held? Will you show me this?
