Welp, Red River Gorge part 2 for my 10 year old daughter looks like a wash for this weekend. As a matter of fact (and Murphys law for that matter, most of Appalachia from Kentucky through WV and western VA looks wet!
Need some advice, and taking into consideration this is peak tourist season, how hard and what do you think likelihood of putting together a couple days up here at Sleeping Bear Dunes would be? Ferry passes, backcountry passes? ANY guidance would be much appreciated. I'm hitting Internet hard now to try and make it happen as north looks like only dry place in the next few days!

I happened upon this video when searching for some Michigan wilderness. I lived in MI for 51 years then last year moved to FL. There's not much wilderness in Key West and I long for and miss Michigan's beauty so much! I have to tell you that I think you're all amazing and have been watching your videos obsessively for 3 days now. I feel as if I've gotten my nature fix through watching your adventures. I love that you're passionate and knowledgeable about nature. Thank you so much for bringing back my peace of mind and reminding me how incredibly awesome mother nature is!

Binge watching your vids from the beginning. Love your work. Being present, and-. neither clinging to the good part, nor resisting the bad. - - that-s how to have peace, joy and happiness. How did you young whippersnappers get so wise so young? It took me 53 miserable years to learn that. Glad you already know it and are sharing that knowledge with others. Come hiking and camping in Pennsylvania with me. : )

I'm surprised I didn't see anyone else mention the music that sounded like the Outset Island music from Wind Waker. You guys are great! This video is gold. The bounty you guys were able to forage was amazing! Now think if you had put the mushrooms in butter on top of a block of cooked ramen. The best in wild gourmet eating!

I agree with everybody else here. This was such a well-produced and thoughtful video to watch. It's amazing that you were able to get such great shots while hiking at the same time. And the time you spent to polish it up in post. .. it's great work. It definitely makes me want to go to North Manitou. This needs more views!

Awesome video! Was someone else with you? At one point all three of you are walking toward the camera. and someone else is holding it and waking backwards I think. Do people still live on this island or are all of those houses abandoned? Thanks again for the info and videos!
