Winter Backpacking and Cozy Campfire Cooking - Zaleski State Forest 4K Eric: I have backpacked and trail ran all of these trails many times at Zaleski, and love them so I thoroughly love this video. Funny though, the campsite on night two was actually not the main campsite. It's just down the way a little more on the right. That one you stayed at is relatively new, and not sure who, or how it was built. The trail on night two which pointed to the -Main parking- is at the school house, and a MUCH better hike in than the old parking lot you stayed at. Thanks for highlighting this park, and really enjoy your videos.

What you guys refer to as Christmas ferns are called either sword ferns or Bracken here in Australia. Tasmania has such majestic forests with Bracken through out.
I really appreciate all of the knowledge you depart to us, as well as the beautiful photography. Thanx guys
Kind regards from Adelaide, South Australia.

I've heard robby talk about how he LOVES video game music more than almost any other music on earth. The music in the beginning while you guys were doing the initial drive around 1: 15 into the video sounded so much like an old video game! Makes me wonder who wrote the music, knowing the music is all done by you guys!

I think you should not use the cutting side of your knife with the fire starting rod? Use the backside (must be a sharp 90-degree angle, so can't use the Mora knives. Have been following you since the Dolly Sods vid. I just can't get used to the music and voiceovers. sorry. Enjoy plant identifications!

Hiking is tough process basically, but there are crucial things you find it worth doing.
I do hike in Caucasus mountains which is very slope and it takes all the energy you got but even in that there's a lot to enjoy.
I imagine how much time and power it takes to film such videos, you cool guys!

So glad you did another Zaleski trip. I remember watching your first one! Thanks for sharing. One winter camping trip. tale a few -Hot Hands- from Walmart with you. A couple in your sweats pockets or gloves as you sleep really help you stay warm all night!

Here in the Philippines, most mountains here don't have switchbacks or barely have switchbacks at all. That's why we're used to climbing straight up and descending straight down. Sometimes, locals just add ropes to help you climb up.

Loved the video, beautiful winter scenery. The fire starting scene made me mourn for that poor knife though. If you invest in a knife with a flat spine, you can use the spine to strike the ferro rod and save your blade a lot of pain.

how are trails like that exhausting to hike? its adventures to hike, duking under bushes and jumping over trees is the ultimate forest experience to me, this hike looks so fun with the trail being so beaten up if only it was less muddy

It would be great to get in contact with you guys! I am based in Lancaster, Ohio and work at Hocking Hills State Park. I normally have to backpack alone since no one in my highschool ever did it and I am on online classes for college.
