Forget it. I think that the French are taking the adage -simplicite fait beaute- (simplicity makes for beauty) a little too far. One look at that simple, drab, colorless, and boring cabin and I woke up to the sound of my own snoring. I know that I am supposed to believe that this is understated elegant French/European taste, but I am not going to pretend that I am an aristocrat who likes understated things such as the cabin of this airplane. For me, this was plain BORING because I like colors and a livelier atmosphere. Although some people say that Emirates Airlines' first class suites are too ostentatious, I disagree. I think that the decor in those suites is a reflection of a place where one encounters a great number of symbols of wealth and it is simply an extension of that wonderful atmosphere; it reflects the atmosphere of a rich emirate where everything that glitters IS gold! Dubai is a place of beautiful and expensive cars, beautiful cafes and coffeeshops, fabulous boutiques and restaurants, fabulous villas and palaces, fabulous hotels, and fabulous malls, and the decor in the first class suites on Emirates Airlines is simply an extension of that fabulous glitter and wealth.
I have never flown first class, but given a choice of first class cabins or suites (after watching your videos of AIR FRANCE, JAPAN AIRLINES, SINGAPORE AIRLINES and EMIRATES, I would definitely opt for a suite on Emirates airlines. Just because something is French doesn't mean that it is automatically good or that that is the standard by which other airlines should be judged. While there are many things I love and admire about France and about the French people and their culture, the days when everything that was French was automatically better or superior are behind us (at least for ME.

I-ll be flying from the US to Paris over Christmas week 2022 and have been researching flights. The $10, 000 price tag is for a one-way ticket. If you book La Premiere as part of a round-trip itinerary, you-ll pay less than half that per segment; you may also be able to upgrade from Business Class, which may cost around -1000 per segment. Air France allows passengers to book different cabin classes for each segment of a trip so I can book economy to Paris but enjoy the La Premiere service for my return. Except for NYC, the service isn-t as grand at US gateways; in fact not all US gateways offer La Premiere, at least not at the time of year I-ll be traveling.

Is it just me or does the concept of being chauffeured to the plane seem so pointless? XD Like you've got to walk to the tarmac bit of the terminal anyway, to be driven five feet and then climb a high set of stairs to get into the tunnel anyway! Like you've just saved yourself about half a minute of walking through an air conditioned glass tunnel and you're going to break a sweat climbing the stairs to get back where you would be anyway, but okay! XD

I love your videos! I just wish you travel bloggers wold dress-up when you travel especially in business and first class. Although I wish most people wold go back to dressing up as I am tired of seeing camel-toe pants, sweat pants and ripped jeans.

Traveling in such luxury is mind boggling. I know that first class is something that the average person is unlikely to experience. This is beyond what I could ever imagine. Anyone who can afford to travel like this lives in a different world.

Very nice review of an amazing product. It's great you got to try out their amazing La Premiere product on a day flight. I probably wouldn't have worn ripped jeans in AF P though.
