Perks of train systems beyond the United States: Modern trains, consistent provisioning of train model, consistent arrival times, consistent departure times, consistent train speeds, consistent start/stop times, consistent provisioning of wireless, consistent provisioning of business class car, consistent provisioning of business class tables, consistent location of dining car, consistent telephone customer service response time, consistent business class onboarding process, etc, etc, etc.

I grew up in carmichael, Ca. which is just outside Sacremento on the way to Folsom. A wonderful place to be in the early sixties. It was nice to see shots of northern Ca. San francisco was a beautiful city to visit back then, nothing like the cess pool it is today. Nice video. thanks for sharing.

I've definitely spent 40-50 hrs in a coach from california to iowa, wished we was first class then, but our tickets back then did include diner car and the observation lounge at least. I also remember a cafe. Would have definitely preferred a sleeper car.

Proudly people feel(tell) - by TRAIN -?
As if they are from heaven-
You know what, STOP travel by your CAR- start using TRAIN like this for better reason.
Do not feel inferior to travel by TRAIN.
So what?

IF you are traveling by vehicle like this grade why not 3 days, people prefer to travel 3 + days.
It-s EXCELLENT way to travel- 1000% wiseful decision yhen travel by car.

Your music volume is about 2x of your voice, have to keep adjusting it between segments where you are whispering and then just jamming it up with the tunes.

Federal law actually requires freight rail to give priority to passenger rail; however, freight rail companies often ignore this.

Ah, Union station in Chicago. Went through there every day for years. Glad I'm done with the city. The place is disgusting.
