Hiking Above 14, 000ft in Colorado with my Brother

My brother Kurtis and I spent 3 days hiking to three peaks over 14, 000ft Kurtis - Old Colorado Hiking video - qwryzu: I did Handies and Uncompaghre this past week not necessarily because of your video (they've been on my list for a while) but this definitely hyped me up a lot! Handies we got caught in sleet/rain right at the top but the view was incredible for a couple minutes. For anyone considering doing this hike, Kraig took the longer way that's also more accessible for a car like theirs and earlier in the year. The other, and shorter, way is via American Basin, which I would absolutely love to see footage of from Kraig in the future. The basin was probably difficult/impossible to access because of snow at the time of recording, but when I went in late July the basin is full of wildflowers and topped by some of the most beautiful, rugged peaks in Colorado. I would call it a high clearance 4WD road but some mad lads I met at the trailhead made it in their stock Nissan Pathfinder and claim to not have damaged their car so. interpret that as you will?
Uncompaghre was one of the most fun hikes I've ever done but the top couple hundred feet or so was in fog the entire time, couldn't see more than 25 feet in front of us. The weather cleared a bit lower down so we got views to the South, East, and West, but the views looking North were what I was most excited for. This video helps make up for that! You guys were blessed with seemingly perfect weather, I guess June is the time to go if you're willing to deal with snow. Also you guys did take the longer trail to Uncompaghre, makes sense in your car and with also doing Wetterhorn but if you just want to hit Uncompaghre and you have High Clearance 4WD try the trailhead at the end of Nellie Creek Rd instead. Great video and great hikes for anyone considering these!

It's been a long time since I laughed as hard as I did when you cut together the shots of your brother dancing when you walked back to your camera. It just kept going on and on and on and on!

Looking these amazing drone footage you made I just keep asking myself do you sell them on stock sites? Just wondering.
Keep doing what makes you happy man, best of luck!

Walking through that snow in Colorado isnt easy. Its hard in some spots, way soft in others and who knows how deep it will drop when it breaks under foot sometimes! Haha

The AllTrails links no longer work. I'm getting a 404 Page Not Found error. Are these AllTrails maps still available somewhere?
