The Siddhachal Rock-Cut Jain Temple Caves in Gwalior, India, represent a magnificent series of Jain temples carved directly into the rocky cliffs of Gwalior Fort, Madhya Pradesh. These ancient caves, dating back to the 7th and 15th centuries, feature beautifully detailed sculptures of 24 Jain Tirthankaras, depicted in seated and standing postures. The carvings were defaced under Emperor Babur in 1527 and subsequently restored. This sacred site is renowned for its architectural complexity and the serene surrounding ambiance, and offers a glimpse into India's rich religious and cultural heritage. This is so amazing it’s blowing my mind thinking of the elders of the Indus lands and how they created such incredible beauty. The skill it takes to carve the rock, the patience while the hot sun is on your back. I can never understand how these archeologists and historians believed the people of the past were not advanced. Literally everything they touched lasts FOREVER

India 1528 to 1947 was a beautiful country.
In 1520 the population was around 125 million and by 1947 it had only increased to a 'mere' 350 million. In the subsequent 80 years that has spiraled out of control to reach a massive 1. 5 billion. No wonder it is now riddled with corruption, poverty, crime, violence and filth.

Inconceivable, incomprehensible - sort of like trying to internalize where we all were while this was happening, and where we'll be returning to. Or perhaps best not to think too hard on it.

OBVIOUSLY not cut out of the rock. The whole melted and burnt mountain was a building/structure. Forget what you have been taught and really look at it.

sweet religion, epistemological solipsism with a bit of decoration. im more mary jane tho. where there is certainty, consideration is absent.
