As common as air travel is in 2022, I still find it absolutely fascinating that in a matter of a few hours one can travel to the other side of the Earth in such comfort and safety. Imagine this journey say two hundred years ago, in 1822. It would have been a dangerous trip of many months and many thousands of miles on a sailing ship around Cape Horn. Passengers would likely die along the way and dangerous weather was a constant threat. Truly amazing times we live in.

If all goes well you'll be able to tell your grand-kids about the day you flew under the Golden Gate bridge at 250 miles an hour! Please remain seated with your seat belt buckled for your safety. And for God's sake, stop all that screaming. I have to concentrate!

I feel like I am one of the lucky ones that always got to fly 747 with UA, BA, NW and DL (after merging with NW. With UA, however, I got to experience flying on their 747SP back when they had the old livery in the 90's. Now, that was something really special.

An Indonesian pilot who used to fly Boeing 747 said that Boeing 747 is litterally the best aircraft ever. He said its very smooth and stable. He alao said he never experience anything scary with 747 even like scary turbulance or near dead experience.

Ive already flown out from San Francisco to London three times, once on United, once on British Airways, and once on Virgin, but still seeing this video as a proud British American, makes me want to get my passport and just fly to London for kicks.

Next time add captions to let us know where you are or at least show the screen on the seat in front of you. I went from takeoff to landing with a couple of stops in between hopefully looking where you are.

Ive done this route myself - just the once onboard a United 777. Long flight, left San Francisco around lunchtime and landed around 7. 30 am.
