Noel, you must take the flight from St. Maarten to Saba where I have my winter holiday home. It is an extremely unique flight, at one of the most tricky airports in the world and arguably the shortest runway in the world that takes commercial flights. This route is probably best served by Winair who service it with their DHC-6-300 Twin Otter as St Barths. But with drops at both end of the runway it is well worth the flight for any aircraft otaku.

The 'F-BUMS' was funny on two levels; 'bums' for you guys is what we call a 'bottom', but the nickname 'f-bomb' in American venacular refers to the 'f' word. We would say something like, He was so mad, he dropped the f-bomb right in the cop's face! So, seeing 'F-BUMS' works on several levels here!

Watching your vis, just to make it more fun for you, you were on a line training flight. You had two captains up front, younger guy getting the training and the older guy. like me giving the training. Boy you do like adventure. Love the masks, go back to Tanzania.

I cannot believe that you flew a single engine piston over open water into IMC conditions. Really need to reconsider your decision making mate. Remember while ther may be many bold pilots, there aren't many OLD bold pilots.

Have you ever flown in to Catalina Island in Southern Calif? Their airport is on the top of a mountain on the island. It looks like a thrilling airport to land in also.

AMAZING video! as you say, this approach is quite hard. No wonder the 2 pilots at the front had 4 stripes (It is a way to know how much experience they have) Captains.

I make that landing on flight simulator all the time. In real life it has to be a piece of cake. Pretty sure I could land a airborne Winnebago if I tried.
