WHY DOES THIS TINY AIRPORT HAVE 2 FLIGHTS A DAY?

I flew from Arlanda in 1999 to northern Sweden and i got in bought my youth ticket and was sitting on a plane backing out of the gate in 7 minutes.
You could by an open ticket for leftover seats as a youth so that's the ticket i bough and a plane to my destination had just finished boarding the regular passengers when i got to the gate.
Your luggage you just threw in the cargo chute as you walk don the boarding tunnel.
There was no safety checks on domestic flights on domestic flights back in those days except the rare random one.

What amazing friendly people. I wanna go to Sveg just to meet really nice friendly people. One of your best video's for me. Just a friendly close knit community. Town totally unspoilt from progress. Look at the hussle and bussle of our lives thanks to smart phones and technology and then, look how the people of Sveg live. You think we are better off? Didn't see one homeless person there.

Hi Noel. As usual it was a good video showing everything about the service. Any chance you might like to fly from Cardiff to Anglesey Airport? It is a service support ed by the Welsh government rather like this flight. Anglesey Airport is actually RAF Valley. There are 2 flights a day Monday to Friday.

What a fun and interesting flight! I'm glad you could ask the pilots at the end how come they are flying this. I have flown on some nationally-subsidized EAS flights in USA, like to Waterloo, Iowa. This town is a lot more desolate than that and using a smaller plane!

Many flights to remote towns in northern Sweden have subsidized flights. Payed by local municipalities and the state and local businesses. So you were probably sponsored by me on that flight!

I know of a few places that have mystery flights out to them. Like some airports in the states that have small jets flying in and out constantly, and you wonder why. Usually they end up being a flight destination for little known military installations.

Maybe the reason the 2 flights, could be the people of Sveg work in the main city, & then the plane takes people home in the evening, like the lady who gave you a ride to your hotel. Plane goes in the hanger, then starts again next morning.

I do love these small Journeys, so much more personal. you could tell the government were paying for these Flights as no Airline would even entertain the loss of revenue.

Amazing, I've been to Sveg's airport many times as I have a house up in the mountains however my first time to fly there is in few weeks on the exact plane you flew on. So excited to fly an B200.

You should know that you still are in the southern part of Sweden when you arrived to Sveg. I'm living 175 km east of Sveg near Baltic sea. it's about 298 km north of Stockholm.

Its probably more a question of two flights a day to Stockholm from Sveg! I suspect the Swedish government subsidises these flights to outlying communities.

I had the opportunity to fly the KingAir-200 on occasion. Realy liked this small smooth turboprop.
Though please complete to full EFIS and on both sides!
