This Airliner Won't Be Flying for Much Longer. Ian: I remember Kenosha as a mill town. Some friends and I were there chasing trains(CP used to have a fleet of FM diesels based there.
As to airplanes, lets see, DC10 JFK SFO on UA, 727's alll over the place. DC-9 LAX MRY SFO Hughes AirWest. 737-200 LAX FAT SFO AirCalifornia. 707 ELP TUS SFO AA. DC-8 WRI) FRF JW(charter. 707-320 FRA LHR TW(this was supposed to be a BA Trident that got cancelled) the 747-200 LHR-SFO PA. DC10-10 SFO-JFK UA. Next year DC-10 FRF WRI) (Aircraft took two lightning strikes on the way out of Frankfurt according to the Pilot) Then spent the next 4 weeks knocking about the states on a VUSA ticket/pass on CO.
Fun times. Spent the next year ELP-SFO on a variety of flights. Things like on an EA 727-100QC(all passenger on my flight) into ELP or WA 737-200 ELP ABQ. WN(Southwest) here and there. The first two years of airline deregulation created all kinds of interesting routings.

My first ever flight was at 6 years old on a 707, following on Comets, 1-11's, Caravelle's, 747 Classics, Tristars, DC10s, A300's, Convair 990, DC9's, 727's, 737's, 757's, 767's, Dassault Mercures, Fokker's, Tupolovs, A DC3, A310, A340, 747-300's, 400's, 777's, 787-9's, Emberaers, Dash-8's, some SAAB thing once, A320, A319, A321, A380, A350, some seaplanes, helicopters, and last but not least used to go over to NY and back by Concorde. Loads of different airlines, most of the main ones & almost always upfront ( as an adult. So I am blessed really that I was fortunate to fly aircraft from the first jets to supersonic, to today's plastic planes. Never got to ride a Trident, or a DC8 though. I'm now 58 and still LOVE LOVE LOVE flying - from leaving home to baggage reclaim.

Interesting video as are most of your videos to odd destinations: -) But am I missing something, Noel? I notice that you repeat the destination(s) all the time in your commentary. For example, you tell us that we are flying to Kelowna at the beginning of the blog yet keep reminding us that we are going to. Kelowna or that we are in. Kelowna. Same deal with the aircraft names. I would suggest that we watchers only need to be told once and we will work out the rest, gettit? You did ask for comments well here is one. I would find your clips a lot more gripping if you could perhaps replace the constant reminders with something a little more. informative. Just my AU$0. 10 worth: -)

I used to ship to Northern BC all the time with Air North at their old cargo terminal in Edmonton. It was almost like going into a bus station. Very downscale.
However, I think they probably focus less on the internal decor and more on the maintenance due to the small remote airports where they fly. I believe their main source of revenue is the types of cargo they bring to northern towns.
I don't remember ever seeing them have any history of problems, and I think they keep those old jets because they have great handling in cold, icy, slippery, windy conditions.

I had the chance of flying in a few United Air 727's and a brand new DC-10 as a teenager in the late 70's. In 1980 I flew in a CP-Air classic 747 (with a big movie screen) from Vancouver to Hawaii. and a ride from Honolulu to Maui and back in the infamous Aloha Airlines vintage 1960's era 737's. from which years later in 1988 the roof would be torn off one of its aging 737 jets (possibly the same jet I flew on years earlier) More recently I flew on a well worn Air Canada 1990 model 767 from Barcelona Spain to Montreal in 2017.

Hi I enjoy your videos and wait eagerly for the next one, you said about regretting not flying on certain aircraft, two that I got to fly on in the seventies were a Chipmunk from RAF Turnhouse when I was in the ATC and later on when in the army reserves going to Cyprus I flew in a RAF Britania from Prestwick, both flights were a great experience.

Flying on the 737-400 reminds me of my childhood flying on Malaysia Airlines with their then classic workhorse. Last time flying with it in 2012, now I kinda miss this aircraft that is usually synonymous with the 737 Classic and one time probably the largest operator of it in Asia and the aircraft that shape my chilhood love of aviation.

I still recall my last flight on a DC-8 (UA BDL-DEN. That had to be 1981 or so. Loved that plane for its big windows and authoritative liftoffs! Also loved the 707 and 727 as a kid. The DC-9 and its descendants were more of an acquired taste that I eventually developed. But Im with you: fly em while you can!

Hey Noel, you mentioned you havent got the opportunity to fly on an B732. Youre quite often in Canada. Have you tried to take a flight with Nolinor? Theyve got B732 with which they operate their Gravel Strip landings. I dont know if a normal person can book those, but i assume you have some connections; -)

Exactly how I feel about missing out (mostly) on the Boeing 747 as I only recently became a aviation geek.
The Queens days are mostly numbered now, except for freight but in reality only 3 airlines still use this type for passenger. guess Ill be saving up for a Lufthansa trip in the near future.

Do you get affraid in turbulence? I keep on loosing my cool when i hit it in flight. I was flying from Fairbanks to Anchorage in a Alaska Airlines 737-800 (needs to be refurbished) we were boncing all the way. My boss was flying from Seatac to anc same bumpy ride for 90 minutes.

dude you eat an awful lot of french fries, each video should have a FRY TIME moment where you take out a fistful of fries and film yourself putting them in your mouth. FRY TIME! do a montage of all the fries you've filmed yourself eating, that would be fun!

Some of these pretty old 737's in northern canada are equipped with gravel kits to shield the landing gear and somewhat engines when landing on very far north unpaved runways. That might be an interesting adventure at some point!

29 year old 737-400 - pretty much still a daily occurrence in South Africa thanks to a few airlines that still have them flying around. You know it's a 400 when the button for your reading light is a rectangular slab: D

Oldest plane I flew on was a delta dc8. Had to be one of the last flights for the type w Delta. Was scheduled on a 757 Newark to Atlanta. Was in 90 or 91. Got to the gate amd a dc8 was sitting there.

I see you caught some of the BC forest fires that we made headlines with this year. The Q400s on WestJet are really good. I did that run the other year, At least gave us a drink service.

Using VPN to bypass Netflixs geo location licenses will get you banned. Its the equivalent of trying to get through security with nail clippers. Just dont do it.
