Great video, always look forward to a new TA Outdoors, I've gotten several if these kits and i still carry one of the knives daily, granted mine is just a blade none of that serration nonsense. Also i have found if you angle the striker the opposite way so like a 180 degree(protracter) angle and move down the bracelet ferro rod works better.

I have the same flashlight. after using it for 2 years and went after the product in general, i've noticed there is a major issue with the switch connection. after a while maybe due compnent wear the light tends flickering or not working at all until you hit the switch a little.

what watch is that mike looks very well made: ) love the survival kit for the money i feel it is very well priced as maybe even something to keep in a car boot for a outdoorsman i do sea fishing and ive just ordered one of these to leave in my jeep: )

That tourniquet is for gaining IV access and not stopping bleeding, I don't think you could get that tight enough to stop a catastrophic haemorrhage. Also, never use a tourniquet on a doubled boned part of the limb as it could make bleeding worse

Years ago when I just started with the survival thing I bought one of these kits. Basically the whole kit was crap but I'm still using the pocket knife for all the dirty work at work and the fire starter at home for a South African braai.

You guys have inspired me to get out in the woods with just an ax, knife and fire starter so I can learn how to make a shelter, fire, traps, baskets ect. I can't wait to bring my son on these adventures. Thank you so much!

I would have added a tick removing slit to that credit card multitool. I've already got one in that kind of format so I can't imagine it would be that hard an addition to make in metal.

My problem with the cheap stuff is that it is fine for the city where it can be quickly replaced if it fails, but if it fails in the sticks or in a disaster, you are out of luck.

Please remember, when measuring a blade for the purposes of UK law. it's the total blade length as exposed, not the cutting edge.
So, from the end of the handle to the tip.

The knife is definitely not legal, as it is spring assisted. I own the same style of knife & keep it in my car. As it has the seat belts cuter & window braker.

I bought one of there's kits a while back and was surprised that the knife wasn't uk legal, you can, if you choose to, modify it to make it legal

Those wire saws are generally ineffective cutting tools. The toothed section on the survival card is also intended for cutting rope.

The serration part of the blade is not a wood saw, it is used best for cutting rope and woven materials like straps and vines.
