You two are the best if you watch the fake news you would think our two countries dislike eachother I think that farest from the truth I think we ( at least in middle American) have more common then most think I'm a retired electrician now living on a lake in the northern wood of MichiganI have a good well now and pressure pump/tank here that works well for all my needs But have been looking at kits on Ebay for hand driving your own hand pump well for not a bad price. Thought it would be nice project for my son( mostly son now days)and I to do just for free second sore of water. Do they have those kits there across the pond inthe UK at a reasonable cost? import costs from ebay to you might be a bit to much but thought it might be fun project at pallet cabin for freshwater? PS i'm to old to use a post driver so plan on renting electric jack hammer at local hardware with pipe driving attachment. our water table is less then 30 feet So Bobs your uncle The drive tip and stand up hand pump is the biggest cost. just a thought

You could find an adapter for the drill, that will allow you to put a socket on the end, like a hex nut driver. Then for your spindle, carve one end to fit as snuggley into the socket driver as possible, then there you go. you have your spindle. pump the drill to spin it and make your friction for the ember. A little creative thinking, and we can figure any problem outI just love your videos. both yours and your dads, but specifically the ones you do together. My dad is no longer with me so trust me. build those memories while you still can. I understand the customs thing. totally understandable, Although I'll miss them, I wont hold it against you. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment you have given me, and for the inspiration to get out into nature more often. I think I have an old hand drill like that somewhere. maybe I'll give it a try myself just for fun. Although I have made and used bow drills before, I'm an old fart now, so I usually just use either a ferro rod, or the old trusty Bic lighter nowadays: )

Well that is a shame that you have had to cut off the mail-call but I do understand, as for the companies that sent you stuff (& did it on the sly) that was a piss-poor show, because of you lot, now the rest of us have to wear it. ARSEHOLESDue to me being in/out of hospital I wasn't able to send you a gift, & its something that would go well with the cabin, oh well, maybe another time? On the whole, the pallet cabin has been a great success, I just wish that I could have had with my dad, what you have with yours. a top bloke is your dad but in saying that so are you Wishing you both all the success & good health, cheers from down under.

I wonder how many blokes are now secretly tricking out their garden sheds like this: )Really entertaining, interesting and inspiring stuff. Love it. Years ago I had an allotment with a shed. We weren't allowed to use hose pipes, so I put a clear plastic roof on it with a hand soldered solar panel underneath (You can buy cheap single cells but you have to wire them together. The water fed into a recycled 1000l water container. The solar panel charged a battery, which powered a caravan shower pump attached to a hose pipe. No rules broken, happy days: )

Hi Mike if the screwdriver doesnt have any bits with dont worry just pick up a round shank screwdriver that has a hexi bit holder at the end cut it off near the handle so it has plenty of shank left look down the barrel of the Yankee it has a step at the bottom which is easily sorted and there is a spring loaded v halfway down you fix both with hack saw and a saw file and with your injunity youll have it sorted in no time I did this years ago and youll be surprised what will fit it hope this helps J

UK customs charges are super annoying. I live in the states and I sent her a 100 dollar purse for Christmas for her, and I had to pay in the US 48 dollars to mail it. No option given to pay custom charges at all in the UK. then my gran had to pay 30 pounds to accept the gift. What a load of crap, the UK has made it a complete waste to mail stuff to them, might as well send cash and let them buy stuff. she'd have been able to get a 200 dollar purse instead. Load of crap rules

Hmmmm, the import tax's are done by your government business is not solely to blame In Australia for example it's items with a value over a 1000, that attract a import tax, it's designed to not catch people as yourselves, but as you say too many gifts to use them all, :-) how lucky you are great vid, I love to see the youngun and the oldman work together, reminds me of my oldman: -, no longer with us. thanks for sharing: -)

It is to bad about the reason you are having to stop your unboxing videos. I have enjoyed them as I know you do. Totally understand your reasoning. Have enjoyed both of you and the work you have done. I will keep watching. Hopefully you will be able to get your moss on the roof. I think it would be a good idea for buffering the sound and work as some insulation.

Mike - that Camp coffee used to be in a square bottle, about the same height as soy sauce. My mum used to use it when I was a kid (back in the mid to late 1950s. I've been a tea drinker all my life - probably because of camp coffee coz it tasted naff (from what I remember. You'll probably like it coz you're a mega coffee drinker. Keep up the great videos mate.

I agree with many of the others, the best part of the whole series (I think I watched them all) is the great father son relationship and making something together without judgment and I love the camaraderie. I don't have kids but if I did, this is something that I would have liked to with them. I'm glad the you folks have the private land to do it on.
