Great video, but people watching this should be aware that having open fires in the national parks in England is extremely controversial. There have been some big campaigns against it due to people leaving a mess and obviously the risk of wildfires. Wild camping without permission in the lake district is generally tolerated but it's not an entitlement so if a land owner sees you burning an open fire on their land, even if you've gone to the trouble of using protection like that bush box (which looks great btw I might treat myself, they are much more likely to come out and ask you to leave.

Haven't even finished watching the video but wanted to say that this is really great content. A wonderful view of England for me as an American to see. I hope to travel there and do some camping myself Can't wait to see the rest of the episodes. I love that your videos are part gear-reviews without focusing entirely on that aspect, and it's great to see your gear in action, rather than in a house like a lot of videos.

Hi Mike. The video's different somehow. I think it's incredibly authentic and it's really understandable how well you're doing out there. Really nice to look at. I am already looking forward to the other parts of the adventure series. At some point I have to come to England to see you. An international adventure so to speak. In this sense I wish you much health and all the best from the pirate. Azze

Mountain lake's don't exist. Where I come from, we call it like it is. And that is an inactive volcano crater. It might be active, or it might not be. Doesn't matter, and I am not qualified to identify the difference. but there really is no such thing as a mountain lake. I am not trying to fear monger, it clearly isn't dangerous, whatsoever. I just dislike lying. Lies are for people who believe they are right.

My god England is beautiful, makes me want to go on a hiking trip through the lake district. I'm just wondering if you can just do that. I mean go out and make camp anywhere in what I presume is a national park. Getting permission would be a major hassle here in Germany if you're doing it outside of certain permitted areas.

What a well put together video, love it. I'm wanting to try solo camping but with the laws the way they are in the UK I'm not sure, Did anyone try and stop you? Did you get any unwanted attention from anyone whilst walking around with your camping backpacks on?

I think many people living in cities suffer from depression because of the lack of going out in the nature. I felt depressive but seeing that sight of north england in its beauty and you guys enjoying your time over there lifted my mood up a little.
