For the next 24 hours, I do an overnight camping and fishing trip next to a 200 year old lake. It is a traditional English estate lake. We setup our shelters, I opt for a bivi and Dad sleeps underneath the umbrella. We get some bait out in the water and wait for the fish to bite! Cheers for watching and be sure to subscribe for more. Daniel: Very entertaining and soothing video. We don't have fishing bivys in the USA, to my knowledge, other than for fishing through the ice in the winter. Nice bit of kit, as I have learned (learnt) to say. Your dad is quite a natural comedian! Watching this video was time well spent. Thanks!

I ve never been a fisherman, but did want to ask with pond and lake fishing, how do you avoid ducks, swans, etc, getting hooked or tangled on the rod line, as 40 + years ago when I was a child at a pond, I remember hearing an angler s reel making a rapid whizzing noise, to see on looking a duck flying off with metres of fishing line trailing behind it, it s leg apparently caught in a hook. Too young to find out what happened afterwards, though it seemed the angler cut his line to stop in unreeling. I know this is less likely to happen when stream or river fishing being moving water no birds settling in the surface, but on still water they are likely to be on

This video is better than the little fish floating on the screen to classical music! This film is the future heritage of mankind - a work of art. Calmness, unhurriedness, natural silence and picture quality! Complete unity with nature! Such films are very necessary for the modern inhabitants of the metropolis to get rid of the accumulated stress, they are very good for watching in the evening with delicious tea. Stop watching the next newsletter before bed. Maybe there will be a little more kindness in the world if a little fairy tale is brought to life.

Little tip to brew your coffee with the Aeropress: flip it upside-down with both parts connected.
This way you will be able to pour your hot water without having any water dripping down into your cup.
It gives you all the time you need to stir your coffee (about 30s) before you adjust the filter, flip the Aeropress over your cup and finally press it.
Trust me you'll love the result: )

Yet another great video Mike. The intro was utterly breathtaking. Great to see you and your Dad spending time together. He is a legend and love seeing him in your videos. How many fish did you each catch? Would love to see a pocket dump from you to, to see what you each carry?
Look forward to your next video fella

What a great introduction. Congrats on your video editing skills!
I am currently working on that to increase the quality of my videos.
But it looks like I have a fair amount of work left before I get even close to what you do: D

Get you in the luxury folding bed thing! Your last camping video was a stealth bivvy in some hedgerow somewhere where the dog kept trying to give you away!
Awesome to see you out and about again Mike!
