Magnificent Volkswagen van Mike, glad to see you out camping in it and most of all cooking in it, I've noticed in a lot of my other survival videos that cooking is becoming part of the videos, I really think it's a great idea because people think that you can't eat good when you're out surviving in the wilderness. Congrats on the new van it is awesome van and I really enjoyed the video. I also love it your plan identification knowledge, I think I like that most of all your knowledge on medicinal and edible plants, take care and enjoy.

What a nice change! And looks so luxurious for you. As we get older it makes it so much nicer to not have to ruff it too much. My husband and I use to have one and they are sweet.
Enjoyed watching and seeing you so happy! Have a great time and enjoy your time! Oh and a non-stick skillet is how you'd do it with no oil. Get you a can of Pam to put in the cupboard for emergencies like that also hun.
Have a great week and stay safe.

Very smart! I m building a camper-bedroom in my Promaster and I know how exciting it is to have a off grid, boondocking vehicle! Mine will be just on good roads but everything me and the wife need to sleep, eat, bathroom duties and go exploring to places we haven t been before and only costs for gas and groceries! Nice! Love from NW Colorado, USA. Thanxz

Where did you find a road with no traffic? I can't find any place without people. like people, but would love some quiet once in awhile too. And hope you will cover the rules for roadside camping there. can you pull over anywhere and stop overnight without fear of the knock from police telling you to move on? US is different.

I have a Mercedes Sprinter XLWB which is a self built off grid camper I use it as my daily drive i live in Cornwall so have a lot of narrow lanes and only issue I have found with it is parking in supermarkets as either need to take up 2 spaces or find a spot next a verge where I can reverse in and have the back end over hang

The girls did not come with you? You did not use your outdoor side cover or oning. I stil rememer the first time I went camping with dad. Mom never liked to camp my guess it was womens issues. If your daugter ever says to you I want the first of something and she did not get that first she may hold a permanent gruge.

Rainy weather was the reason why my dad never was into tent camping. While everyone was drying out their gear, we were out enjoying the sunshine and what we could find along the trails. One other advantage is when the neighbors start getting silly you can drive off without too much bother.

We had a 1978 VW camper that we used for 35 years before it gave up the ghost. Since there was no heat or air conditioning, we decided to sell it cheap and get a 7 passenger Chev. It's not the VW that we still love but at least we are warm/cool depending on heating/air conditioning.

As far as tips for your campervan's setup, it looked like finding things inside the cabinets could be a hassle. Are there walls between them? You could set up some sort of pull-out shelves in them, so you can bring supplies into view instead of digging for them.

Totally get where you re coming from. Went to Winchester Caravans a month or so back to look at a Camper King conversion but ended up finding a VW California which we picked up yesterday!
Loving your content, looking forward to more woodland vanlife!
