Etihad Airways B777 Business Class from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok: a review Daniel Hammond: It looks very comfortable. I have no solution to the boredom problem I cannot focus on reading (even though I am a voracious reader off aeroplanes. I cannot enjoy music because the sound seems so poor. I cannot enjoy films because the screen (in steerage) is so small. I do try to catch up with any television shows that might be on offer. But in the end, I am bored witless and I focus on trying to vegetate, to just go into a semi-somnolent state until the flying machine lands. I am not aero-phobic, but I do find it uncomfortable, psychologically, being up there, so I am always glad to be back on the ground. Thank you for the video

Personally, I think those GE90s make a glorious sound Music to my ears: )I must admit to being somewhat surprised that you have a fear of flying. For me personally, I'm not a nervous flyer, I'm a nervous traveller - difference is, I'm in a state of panic (almost) when I'm packing to go somewhere, because I fear that I might forget something. I also tend to over-pack - I'll bring anything that I might, in the off chance, need, even if I'm highly unlikely to use it. But the moment I step on the plane I'm relaxed (there's nothing I can do even if I forgot something. As for how I keep myself entertained - I stare out the window constantly.

I've been on 7, 777 consisting of 200/200lr and 300er. The 300er is one of the most safest Aircraft In the world also my favourite plane as I extremely admire the Fuselage Shape and beautiful noise of the Takeoff either General Electric or Rolls Royce doesn't bother me, I love the takeoff sounds as it's different from all other planes the only aircraft thst I know that have different sounds are 777 787 ( Similar to 777 basically in my opinion a slightly higher pitched version of the 777 take off sound and lastly the A380

The 777 has one of the loudest cabins? I think you have this exclusively. In fact it's a very quiet aircraft compered to it's size. If you are in one of the restrooms in the middle of the -300ER you hear just a little roar. If you sit right next to the engine like i did the last time to Bkk then the level is a bit higher. The A 350 and the A 380 are even quiter but to call the beast a loud airplane is simply wrong.

Etihad is a 5 star airline according to skytrax and the plane have that annoying buzz, the IFE is like a sloth, no amenity kit, the landing was stiff and bumping, the departure was crownd(i thought they give priority to first/business/gold members). hummm interesting, some 4 stars airlines have better business class than Etihad. But overall nice vid as always, can't wait to see the hotel review.

I agree with your comment that flying on long haul routes can be BORING But my biggest scourge on airline travel is that no matter how hard I try to relax, I cannot sleep on planes especially on those overnight flights and hence I arrive fairly exhausted. The joys of travel. At least once I arrive, Ill take something to help me sleep and then I can start to enjoy my destination

the Luxury Travel Expert, do you have any upcoming Thai Airways business class videos? I would love to see them I only travelled on their Economy twice (as it's return trip) but never really glanced at their business class or seen it before. so yeah

You forgot to mention that the flights are so old that the foam on the seats on business class is so thin that you can feel the small metal motors that moved your seat. Result: a terrible sitting comfort and pains for days after.

Love your videos. Completely understand re: being distracted by turbulence. I've flown countless times around the world but it still gets to me sometimes. I think it can worse with age. Perhaps we feel less invincible as we get older)

Just wondering: on flights with meals or multiple meals, is the silverware actually metal or is it plastic? What with terrorists lurking on some airplanes, real metal knives could be used to kill the staff or other passengers.
