The lounges we tried in Hong Kong were excellent. We will definitely try Cathay Pacific again. However, we fear that Qatar Airways will be hard to beat.

I loved to watch this video which brought memories of days gone by, however, I found myself enraged at great airlines like Emirates that they could not duplicate service like this at this time. I understand that governments are fearful of flying much more than passengers, but its time to think of the financial bottom line and implement precautions allowing planes to fly again.

I ve always wanted to travel with Cathay Pacific unfortunately they don t have nonstop flights from PVG(Shanghai) to JFK(New York) so I always take China Eastern airlines, however their service is nowhere near Cathay Pacific even in the first class cabin

For the cost of ticket you paid and air miles, you would be crazy not to take this option. It was definitely worth the experience, and definitely worth watching the video, even though I was salivating at the food.

i miss these premium cabin videos.
had it not been for the pandemic, i would've enjoyed a business class flight with Cathay back in April for a 3-week vacation in the Philippines.

1: 50 I actually remember those departure gates. That s where me and my family were departing for home when I was 8. Thank you for bringing up the memory lane. It feels so nostalgic.

CX lounges are not catered by Peninsula since 2015. It is now catered and ran by Sodexo, synonymous with mass catering, the quality is a far cry from the Peninsula days.

Did they change the menu card to booklet again? Or is the newspaper type menu is exclusive to business class only? Also I think the caterings are improved in this flight.

Fantastic trip report and amazing filming of the food! I've flown business on Cathay and it's brilliant too, maybe get an upgrade to first next time I fly with them
