rating hotel service:
- Meals served all day. If you want to have english breakfast with Nuremberg Sausages anywhere in the world at 8 PM it should be possibe.
- if your safes battery is empty, there is someone to replace it in the next 10 minutes after telling that to your concierge.
- If the hotels sauna or the pool or any other amenity is closed, there's a compensation without asking. The best compensation is free access to a nearby sauna/pool during the time the hotels pool is closed.
- you should be asked whether you want room service, when do you want the room service to come (24/7) and if there's anything they should remember when cleaning. if you want to have your room smelling like roses or a slight touch of coffee, they do it.
bonus points:
- bathroom amenities in glass bottles which aren't bulk sized.
- choices of cushions and bedding

Beat video as always, but oddly enough this hotel seemed to lack any type of wow factor anywhere. Literally anywhere. Nothing was special here. Could have been a mass market 4-5 star anywhere in the Med. Same furniture, tables, paving, beach chairs, rooms etc.

Lovely hotel but personally I would always choose Grand Hotel Timeo when in Taormina because of the incredible views and proximity to the town! Which property did you prefer?
